Great access to downtown London via frequent transit. Guests love the prime location and quiet vibe, plus the friendly staff, clean amenities, and roomy sites. While some note the restrooms need updating, most guests want to come back.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked Staff were very helpful and friendly. Great location for getting into London with ease.

Disliked Showers were very poor. Water was hardly warm and the timer cut off very quickly which made it difficult for me as a women with long hair, I did not have enough time to even wet my hair before I had to press the button to start the water again. Standing there in the cold did not help, then, all the lights went off as they too are on a timer so much of my shower was made in the dark. So much mud and standing water around the caravan. No where to park the car except on soaked and muddy grass.

Cocoon T camping pod (no pets, twin)

Liked Friendly, helpful staff.
On the coldest week in November, staying in a cocoon for three nights, on the second night the heater stopped working. The staff replaced the heater during the day while I was out, and I came back to a lovely warm cocoon on the evening.
Great service.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked You would never know this was here - nestled behind a cinema complex and a short distance off the main road. It was quiet enough and was very convenient for the Ponders End train station - only 20 minutes into Liverpool Street Station. The pitch was a good size and the showers were clean. The most notable thing though was what a warm welcome we received on arrival. I met 3 different young people at that time and all of them made a point to say hello and give a genuine welcome. Excellent value for money, for the location.

Disliked The shower temperature was just warm enough not to be actually cold. If I was staying longer I would have complained!

Local attractions

London, of course… get into the city in under an hour from the local station, Edmonton Green – trains run from here towards Liverpool Street station, gateway to the hundreds of things to see and do around the city. Those who've come to escape city throngs will happily find many activities available in the Lee Valley, Hertfordshire and Essex, from gentle walking and cycling trails to adrenaline-raising whitewater rafting or family paddling on the Olympic course at the Lee Valley White Water Centre (where the canoe slalom events were held during London 2012). Seasonal fishing is available in the area if you prefer a more placid pursuit, or you could take the crew along to Lee Valley Park Farms at Waltham Abbey, to meet meerkats, llamas, reindeer and other non-native (and native) critters, watch events like falconry displays and pig and lamb racing, or let the kids loose to career around one of the four adventure play areas. The 1,000 acres of River Lee Country Park should sort those who want to see critters in their natural habitat, as well as those who want to walk, cycle, or get out into the water in a canoe, rowing boat, electric boat or pedalo.
