Liked: Small site, very minimal amenities, quiet and relaxed, electric hook up available, perfect for an overnight stay and allows 1 night bookings. Owners sent a text message the day of the booking outlining where they are and the code to get in the gate, they also explained where things are and how far away. Absolutely brilliant service. Also, Dogs allowed, and no kids under 12 massive bonus!
Disliked: Nothing really, just a note though, there are NO SHOWERS, this is perfectly outlined when you go to book!!

Liked: The plot was beautiful, staff very friendly, very quiet and lovely walk to the local pub, very close to a great vineyard too, the security of the site was also very good, clean flushing toilet and water supply.
Disliked: Would have liked hot water at the wash up sink for washing hands.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked: It's a quiet campsite, metres from St Peter's Way (the hike I was doing). It had everything I needed for my one night stay and was as described on the website. This was the second time I had camped at this site.
Disliked: A suggestion, not a dislike: I travel light when hiking and camping, and I don't carry a mirror with me. The addition of one in the toilet would be nice.
The only dislike was the slope of the field. That said, I was so tired from my hike, I slept pretty well, regardless!

Primitive cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked: I loved the location, so peaceful and well looked after. The owners were very helpful and kind. The facilities were good, the toilet was not what you expect when you look at the outside. It’s a proper flushing toilet next to a sink for hands or dish washing. Plenty of different rubbish bins and a chemical toilet emptying place.
There were electric hook ups in one part of the field and just grass parking spaces in the other part of the field. It was quite a small park but it suited us perfectly as we like to be in the countryside with no noise.
There was a lovely walk to the local pub the Purleigh Bell which I can highly recommend.
All in all I would not hesitate to return.

Disliked: Nothing really. As advertised this is a small site with basic but clean facilities on a somewhat noisy road which is quiet at night.

From the manager: Many thanks for the feedback. So just to confirm, you have given location as 6/10, value 8/10, accommodation 6/10, cleanliness 8/10, and an overall rating as 2/10. Surely, there is a consistency issue here? I believe that we gave you the option of a site on the front field and in the back, further from the lane, but you chose the front field and then raise road noise? You mention there not being a shower, yet this is highlighted very clearly in the pitch up website wording, photographs and throughout the reviews. If I am honest, I feel as though I have been penalised by someone else's lack of competence, with such a low rating.
Kind regards
