  • Quiet, simple farm site with uninterrupted country views
  • A 15-minute drive to Tunbridge Wells or to Hever Castle and Gardens
  • Home-reared beef, lamb and pork available on request
Constance Farm Camping is a small-scale site located in a fine stretch of peaceful High Weald countryside. This working beef and sheep farm has a small herd of pedigree Sussex cattle, which graze in these lush fields under the watchful eye of Archie the bull. There's a separate field here where folks seeking outdoor stays can bed down, laze around and watch the cows and sheep munching grass in nearby fields. Constance Farm Camping has humble but helpful facilities, including portable toilets, showers and ice pack freezing, but other than that you'll be pretty much left to your own devices when it comes to how you manage your holiday. You may well want to include treks along the car-free Forest Way on your itinerary – this old railway line is a green corridor that creates breathing space for walkers, cyclists and local wildlife; there are plenty of seats and picnic benches dotted along the route if you fancy stopping for lunch. You can join it on the edge of the village of Withyam (20 minutes' walk from site). On your way back to base, you can stop off at a nearby tea room (a mile from site) if you're in need of a little boost on the home stretch, or head to the well-stocked farm shop next door to stock up on provisions for barbecuing back at the farm.

Sheep Field bell tent

Liked: Matthew and Julie were great, they were extremely friendly and helpful. They are the type of people you just can't not like. The meats provided were extremely good value and tasted great, especially the lamb and mint burgers! The showers were just like at home and the tent itself was perfect. They took us round to see and feed all the animals and taught us alot about the farm animals that are there
