Lovely stay, lovely people. Recommend!
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Space, open ness, the owners
Disliked Hot water wasn’t working on one washing up bowl. Could do with water restrictions on taps as saw teenagers running hot tap for ages wasting water

Staan plaatsen zijn erg ruim, en soms wat aflopend.
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Vrijwel alles.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked I went with my family and we all enjoyed our time at the campsite, especially the farm that was the kids favourite part of the visit and the goats were so friendly. The owners are very welcoming and kind, they had fresh eggs for sale which was great. The facilities were clean and well maintained and having fresh drinking water was so convenient. I loved that there was a kitchen area with a sink to make life easier when cleaning dishes. There is plenty of space for your tent and to run around or play. I definitely recommend anyone to go and visit.

Great campsite. Welcoming, clean and perfect location
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Perfect location for visiting family who live locally. Fab campsite and we will definitely visit again. Communication before our visit was excellent. The pitch sizes are very generous. The facilities were clean and tidy. We normally book adult only campsites as our children are all grown up but there was no issues with any other campers. Everyone was respectful. It was nice to find a no dog campsite too. The washing up area was covered and there was plenty of space and washing up liquid and dish drainer available to use. The showers were warm and wet wirh plenty of space to get changed. I personally prefer a mega hot shower but I understand wirh it being a family site the water can't be too hot for thr children. On the plus side there was plenty of water - there was no hugging the wall or a button to press every 20 seconds for it to start again.
We missed the coffee van but if we hadn't we wouldn't have found Farleys House (home of Lee Miller). We also arrived later than 6pm so knew we had missed the log van but Scott made a point of coming over, after seeing we were setting up, to say hello and let us buy logs for the firepit which we thought was a nice touch. We will definitely be back.

I couldn’t recommend this campsite enough, we will be going back
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Really friendly owners who couldn’t do more to help, they provided all the information we needed and went the extra mile
Disliked Onsite freezer for freezer blocks, would just help massively. Could do with a floor squeegee in the shower

Great site with good facilities and helpful hosts.
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Lovely open site with fire pits for each generously-sized pitches.
Quiet - no surprise in late September - but the showers and loos were still cleaned regularly.
And the hosts check in on you and make sure you've got everything you need for a good stay.
Disliked It would have been better without some very heavy rain.

Excellent campsite in beautiful location
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked This is one of the best campsites we've ever stayed in. It's in such a beautiful quiet spot, very spacious plots, surrounded by fields, and walking distance on footpaths to pubs (the lovely gastropub the Gun in GunHill and the Six Bells in Chiddingly for drinks). Scott was there on hand to provide wood, kindling and delicious sausages for our evening campfire and Ruth kept the on-site facilities lovely and clean. It was great to have a visit from the coffee van in the morning and ice cream van in the afternoon too. Nice to visit their numerous animals in the morning.
Disliked Nothing to complain about at all really. Only downside was weak 4G signal on the campsite, which was actually a positive since our kids got a break from their IPads, but still 3G to stay connected.
