Power optional cement/asphalt RV campsite

Liked Just had a lovely two night stay here. It’s a great position for a short drive into Lytham and other local attractions. The site is beautifully maintained and it’s obvious Walter and Jane take great pride in what they offer.
Thank you for your welcome, I shall return 😊

Power optional cement/asphalt RV campsite

Liked Very nice and clean wee site. Pitches were all immaculately landscaped.

Owners very pleasant and friendly.
You do have to pay for electric however for the long weekend we were there it was only £4 so it isn’t much of a concern.

Toilets/showers were ok, functional and once again very clean and tidy. They have done well with the space.

Only 15 mins into Blackpool so very handy for going there or any of the surrounding seaside towns.

Very good location for the M6

Disliked Nothing.

Power optional cement/asphalt RV campsite

Liked Very well kept and wonderfully peaceful site. Lovely welcome from the owner. Less than a dozen pitches, all set round in a circle, with plenty of space for sitting out. Only one shower and one toilet each for females and males, but never had a problem getting a shower when required. Good location just off the motorway, but slept well.

Disliked Not a dislike, but it might influence our choice of local site in future....We had initially booked to see family in the area, and hoped they could drop round to say hello, but there are prominent signs saying no visitors allowed and no exceptions. So I was picked up in a car and went to the local coffee shop and when dropped off, we were sitting for 2 minutes chatting outside the gates. We were approached by one of the owners to ask us what we were doing. Seemed a little unwelcoming.....

Local attractions

Fancy a day at the beach? Blackpool (15 minutes’ drive) is a great place to start – as well as the fabulous sandy beach, you should make time to head to the top of the Blackpool Tower, try out some of the rides at Blackpool Pleasure Beach and ride one of the heritage trams along the prom. Blackpool’s a lively place, so for a more leisurely time head north to the Victorian town of Fleetwood (25 minutes), home to an excellent traditional indoor market, or south to Lytham St Annes (25 minutes), which has historic sights including a restored Victorian pier and Grade II listed windmill as well as a golf course, boating lake and lots of places to eat and shop. For other days out, step into the past at the Ribble Valley Steam Railway & Museum (15 minutes), take woodland walks in the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (half an hour) or look out for birds at RSPB Hesketh Out Marsh (40 minutes).
