What customers say

Friendly staff & great amenities like a pool, but touring pitches can be unkempt/uneven. Clubhouse & entertainment are good, though some facilities need better cleaning/upkeep.

Powered gravel travel trailer campsite (large)

Liked Quiet and peaceful with access to facilities. Lovely location.
Check in guy on reception was friendly and helpful.

Disliked Unkept, dirty and unsafe.

Rubbish left at the back of the pitch next door from previous occupants - this was clearly old because it was sun bleached.

Electric boxes unsafe with small children around. Wires hanging etc.

Kids park - bin overflowing, rubbish on the floor all around the park. Nettles everywhere resulting in my daughter getting nettled just for playing on the climbing frame.

Facilities - lovely! But when I’ve paid £96 for 2 nights in a dump, why should I be expected to pay £6 per adult and £4 per child to swim?
Didn’t go into the toilet block as I was scared what sort of state they’d be in.

No maintenance of touring area at all.

Liked The children’s soft play area, children’s entertainment . The guy in the shop was very pleasant and helpful

Disliked Outside play area filthy and not suitable for younger children, waste bin overflowing Pitch was small even though we booked a large pitch, the pitch was strewn with food wrappers . The children’s soft play area didn’t open till 5PM.

Powered gravel travel trailer campsite (medium)

Liked The area, staff, overall site nice just the touring bit is not really nice

Disliked Pitches not cared for, full of weeds, scattered left clothing, Felt like we was on a car park more then a site, pitches 1-15 wouldn’t mind paying no more then £20 a night for the pitch but £45 is outrageous

Recommend to friends Visit again

Hope they read reviews and invest some time into the park

Liked The area in which the park is situated is beautiful. The bar was lovely and new although a bit pricey!

Disliked This would have been a fab holiday park maybe 10 years ago which is a shame as I’m sure it could be again with attention to detail! The touring pitches are horrendous and uneven and not finished off, no view, everything was overgrown and in need of attention, facilities very basic ! The park needs an overhaul and some money spent on it and I’m sure it would be amazing with some attention! Didn’t stay in a static and I probably wouldn’t like to when we looked around. Some nice vans and alot of old vans with overgrown weeds and u kept landscaping!

Local attractions

Beacon Hill Country Park and the Forest of Bowland are mere minutes away by car and both have miles of walking routes across a range of landscapes including woodland, hills and farmland. Climb to the top of Beacon Hill to see landmarks in all directions including Belvoir Castle, Lincoln Cathedral and the hills of the Peak District. Said to be the inspiration for Tolkien’s Middle Earth (which might make you want to furry foot it there immediately), the Ribble Valley has the 70-mile path the Ribble Way, shopping in towns such as Clitheroe or munching one’s way around the Ribble Valley Food Trail. The River Ribble is a big hook for anglers landing chub, barbel, trout and salmon. City day trips are in all directions too: the kids’ eyes will light up with a trip to Blackpool… and for shopping, the Trafford Centre and Liverpool One of Manchester and Liverpool respectively should empty your wallet nicely…
