What customers say
This site offers beautiful views and a peaceful, quiet atmosphere, ideal for a "wildish" camping experience with spacious pitches and privacy from trees. Staff are generally described as helpful. While many appreciate the low cost and scenic woodland, some visitors have noted issues with cleanliness in the toilet and shower blocks, lack of hot water for washing, and no bins. Access and parking can also be challenging for some.

Nice site, unfortunately let down by the questionable local area.
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Site itself was nice, fairly spacious. Directions were clear, no issues getting there
Disliked Let down by the local area, I didn't stay the night as there were 3 women, completely blind drunk and refusing to control a huge dog which was causing problems among the other tents, bathrooms and fighting with other dogs, let down by this but not the sites fault, simply the local area.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Great views
Disliked Cleanliness of the toilets and shower left a lot to be desired. Sloping pitch as was told to use top field. Others had taken flatter areas.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Cheap for single person
Disliked Noisy people playing round music and drinking until past 10.30pm had to message owner who did ask others to lower the music at this point. I should of pitched lower down in the trees but no one on site to ask and when I phoned the contact number no one answered just received a text to say pitch in top field where the party was.
No hot water to wash pots of hands in toilet. Shower water was warm but toilet block is old.

Poor hygiene facilities but EVERYTHING else is amazing.
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked The campsite, views and nature was beautiful. It was well priced, private and spacious. As it was accessible and there were large, near-by shops, we were able to simply travel by tram as a group. There was also a large range of onsite activities and facilities like showers and a troughs to wash up in with taps. There is good signal throughout the site and a large wood pile.
Disliked The toilet facilities (including the showers), while functional didn’t smell or look great and were limited in number.
