A peaceful rural site
Pitches with peaceful views
Bridge to shower block, bins, cdp and water

  • Neatly kept adults-only Lancashire touring site for CAMC members only
  • Beacon Fell Country Park 15 minutes’ drive; Blackpool half an hour
  • Peaceful rural views; restaurants and shops within 10 minutes’ drive
A small family-run site on the outskirts of Garstang – the world’s first Fairtrade market town – Little Stubbins Certificated Location is a quiet, adults-only spot for members of the Caravan and Motorhome Club. The neatly maintained touring pitches are surrounded by countryside views and have grassy areas for your private use, plus a modern shower block, toilets, chemical disposal point and a vending machine full of snacks and soft drinks. And never fear, this may be a rural area, but there are pubs, restaurants and shops within 10 minutes’ drive. The site sits between junctions 32 and 33 on the M6, putting it in pole position for overnight stops if you’re travelling north or south along the motorway. It is also halfway between Preston and Lancaster (both half an hour’s drive), and about the same distance to Blackpool for guests after a bit of beach time. If you prefer to explore on public transport, Little Stubbins is handily located on a bus route. Dogs are welcome as long as they are kept on short leads while on site, and you can exercise them by walking down the Lancaster Canal towards Garstang (about an hour’s walk). There are also several local spots for walks and bike rides, including Beacon Fell Country Park (15 minutes’ drive).

What customers say

This small, well-kept site is praised for its great location, friendly, helpful staff, and spotless facilities. Guests enjoy the peaceful vibe and proximity to canal walks and local pubs/shops. While some mention potential noise from the nearby motorway/railway, most found it didn't detract. Optional electricity is affordably available.

Liked Well maintained tidy site.
Clean shower block. Good size shower. Couple of toilets.
Local information.
Able to choose whether to have electricity or not.
Close to canal walks.
Easy walk to pub and centre with choice of eating places and supermarket.
We didn't use the wifi but it was available.

Disliked We needed earplugs due to motorway and railway noise- worse into the evening and into the night.
Water was across small foot bridge so not able to fill motorhome water tank- this was inferred on website.
No obvious grey water waste - caravans could probably empty into chemical waste across the little bridge.
Maybe this site is better suited to caravans than motorhomes but we knew this reading the blerb.
