What customers say

Great location with river access for paddleboarding/kayaking on Coniston Water. Spacious, quiet pitches, clean portable toilets, and a handy honesty shop are often praised. Minor points about no running water/showers are outweighed by scenery and friendly owners.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked A quiet campsite with marked our pitches. Cars are off the field but it is only a short walk from the car to the furthest pitch. There’s a creek at the bottom of the campsite that you can paddleboard or swim down to coniston lake which is very convenient

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Amazing location, literally walk on to the lake from the bottom of the camping field.
Toilets was well stocked and clean. Plus honesty shop for the farmer was a nice touch. We did meet the farmer on the 1st night and he was very welcoming. Will definitely be returning.

Disliked Good old English weather. It basically rained the whole time we was there. But again that did not stop us enjoying this campsite and the lake.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Amazing location. Loved the river at the foot of the camping field.

Disliked Portaloos weren't great on the day we arrived but were cleaned the following morning and were absolutely spotless after that. Probably just luck of the draw as to how nice they are when you stay.
