Everything!!!! It was an amazing little place to stay. The surroundings were so peaceful and stunning to look at. At night the skies from the hot tub were outstanding. When I booked this stay I was sent a link so download an app which is fantastic with ideas on what to do and a great list of local restaurants and take aways. We received a text the morning of our arrival to let us know where we were staying and detail on how to find which was great. On arrival everything was ready and perfectly waiting us. Our pods was immaculate with everything you could need inside, including a hamper with some fantastic goodies!!!!! The bed was cosy and comfy, hot tub ready to go, fresh fluffy towels. The sheep and little pony provided some very sweet entertainment as we relaxed in the hot tub in the evening. We stayed two nights and wished it had been more. I was just such a relaxing and tranquil place to be, we would 100% recommend a visit! Thank you so much to our hosts!!!!!

We loved everything!! The pod had everything you could want/need and more! It was clean, cosy and practical. Lovely little touches made our stay extra special, including surprise cupcakes for my boyfriends birthday, a happy birthday banner, bath robes, heated hot tub on arrival, tea and coffee, welcome hamper full of amazing treats and Prosecco, monopoly/top trumps games (Lake District edition!) The list could go on…
The location is ideal for exploring the Lake District/Yorkshire Dales and we enjoyed saying hi to our friendly neighbours, especially Troy the Shetland Pony!!
You can tell a lot of thought goes into making sure everyone’s stay is perfect and Emma is more than happy to go the extra mile for you!
Thank you for an amazing stay and we will hopefully be back soon!

It was absolutely beautiful, the location is fab, the pods are luxurious and they have thought of everything you could possibly need for your stay. The hot tub was great and the outdoor space fantastic. Everything was pristinely clean and could not fault a thing. And how amazing to have a pony and two sheep just over the fence to welcome us! We got a welcome pack full of goodies for our stay which was great. Also as it was our anniversary Emma has so kindly decorated the pod with a banner, balloons and some delicious cupcakes, which was such a lovely touch. Would highly recommend.

I loved everything about this place (well, except the fight I had with night time moths! Hehe).
I travelled solo to Flakebridge Farm and I felt very safe and secure in the grounds.
From the moment I arrived Emma was there to greet me and was only ever a quick message away if I needed to ask anything.
There's nothing they haven't thought of; everything you need is right there from the welcome pack with lots of local info in too, everything in between, to the 'Wine honesty box' if you were to run out!
There's plenty to do around the area, near and far, but the Pod is perfect enough not to have to venture anywhere!
It's a very peaceful place and I would definitely suggest a visit, you would go back, as I am, with my two daughters next time...I've already booked!...besides I have to see my new 'mates' again!...the Valais Black Face Sheep and 'Troy' the Shetland Pony of course!! I even got to help Emma's son, Liam, feed them. He was a very knowledgeable and friendly lad who is a credit to his family.
Thanks so much Emma, Andrew and family for all the hard work and passion you put into this place to make it perfect for your guests, I know you really care x

Wow what can I say . This was a surprise holiday booked by my husband for our 3rd wedding anniversary. Upon arrival we were greeted by Andrew who kindly showed us around the pods , I was over excited as I had wanted to stay at the pods for so long and this being a surprise made it all the more exciting. The pods are absolutely immaculate and I mean immaculate, bedding , towels and robes smell absolutely amazing and we didn’t see a single bit of dust You would think it was brand new and had never been stayed in it was that clean . The pods come with lovely luxury toiletries such as robes and slippers , hand wash and creams these are all lovely personal touches by Emma . The pods are well equipped with absolutely everything you need even items you would bring such as washing up liquid , kitchen spray , room spray , loo roll even tin foil and cling film are provided it was all these small personal touches that make a difference especially when you forget them like we did lol. When walking in the pod I burst in to tears as Emma had decorated the pods with anniversary balloons and banners and as an extra touch we had thank you NHS cupcakes and a bottle of Prosecco as my husband had told Emma I am a nurse and this was Emma’s way of saying thank you ( how lovely is that ) we also received a welcome hammer brimmed with the most amazing goodies we didn’t leave a single item in the hamper as it was all just to good 😊. Other items we found much use of were the small speaker to listen to radio on and hair dryer . The TV has everything you need like Netflix, Amazon prime and much more. The hot tube is amazing and gets warm really quickly we loved sitting in tub day or night either watching the wild life or the bright starts at night . This brings me to our next review wildlife our lovely neighbours in the field are Troy the pony and 2 blacknose sheep who are extremely friendly. Emma was so kind as to borrow us some binoculars so my husband could try and see the owls and we weren’t disappointed we saw a barn owl , tornie owl , baby bats and rabbits my husband being a keen fan of wildlife was over the moon with this we also used the binoculars to watch the stars at night time and I have to say this is outstanding, the stars are so bright and move very slowly to the point you think is that a star or a space ship 😬 this is amazing to do while sitting in the hot tub at night time. My husband also found a fresh salmon in the stream and this made his day. The wood for the fire pit is stocked up by Liam who is such a lovely and polite young man. Emma and Andrew went above and beyond for us even grabbing us 2 bottles of Prosecco on there day out to see family as we had enquired were to get more from again( how lovely is that 🥰) we also ran out of beans and sugar this again was resolved by Liam knocking at the door with some beans and sugar that Emma had so kindly sent over when we had enquired we’re the local shop was nothing is to much for this amazing lady she really does go above and beyond to make your stay stress free. We had many amazing days out over our 5 day stay including Penrith show that is a must see and then to pooley bridge for food and drinks we recommend the secret garden as you can sit next to the lake with beautiful views we also had a champagne afternoon tea in granny dowbekins tea room next to the lake and this was stunning. We had a day on ullswater lake and had taken a picnic bbq with Prosecco and spent the day sunbathing and out on the lake In our canoe this is a must for us as it’s so beautiful and relaxing. pooley bridge and ullswater are only 35 minutes drive from the pods. The day of leaving was my graduation day and Emma has so kindly bought me a gift and card again ( how lovey is that 🥰) we are extremely sad to be home as we have the holiday blues badly , but are now looking to book again for October. We arrived as guests But left as friends and we will certainly be back 10 out of 10 you will not be disappointed.
