Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked: No frills field to camp with clean basic amenities and stunning views. Everyone who was pitched seemed happy and friendly. We met the owner and his son, both were friendly and accommodating, making regular checks to ensure everything was fine as it was booked out.

Liked: We really liked the location of the campsite. It is a short drive to most places but also has really nice walks around. The walk into pooley bridge from the campsite was lovely.
Great views from the site too!
The facilities were basic but were clean throughout our stay.
The staff were polite and friendly, they come around to check the site regular and top up any wood for fire (this was also very easy to pre book!)
Disliked: One group were a little bit loud after 11pm but there’s always one!

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked: Convenient location
Disliked: The facilities were the bare minimum - at the price of a campsite with good facilities. The shower only had cold water. It was extremely noisy, with large groups shouting and playing music through the night. Don't book ahead - it's just an open field with no assigned plots.

Liked: The firepits are a brilliant idea and easy to pre-book. The owner was really friendly and supplied us with fire starters, kindling and logs. The shower and toilet facilities were basic, but very clean. Clean water was also available on site and there was enough space for us to pitch our 3 tents.
Disliked: Not applicable.
