One of the best kept secrets on the network, Dockray Meadow Caravan Club Site in Lamplugh puts you within easy reach of lesser-known lake gems, such as Cogra Moss, Ennerdale, Loweswater, Crummock Water, Buttermere, Derwentwater and Keswick. With its scenic surroundings of hills and trees, the caravan park offers a great getaway for the family. The site is also a great choice for dog owners, with lovely walks and dog friendly bistro located on the harbour front. Dockray Meadow Caravan Club Site has a little something for all tastes. You may opt to unwind alongside the tumbling stream, watching the red squirrels dart about. For the more energetic, there are plenty of walks from and around the caravan site where you can take in the glorious fell scenery. Cyclists won't be disappointed, since the Coast to Coast Cycle Route is a short distance away. Other excursions within easy reach include the St Bees Head Nature Reserve, several nearby National Trust sites and the lovely old market town of Cockermouth, famous for being the birthplace of William Wordsworth.
