Liked: Close to village, on site bar/food, friendly staff, campsite kitchen, dog walk along river.
Disliked: My tent pitch backed onto the road and some quite loud cars/bikes passed at all hours
WiFi advertised, doesn’t reach pitches and no signal. Not the end of the world.

Liked: Everything! Spotlessly clean hot showers. Very well kept shared areas and children’s play area. Quiet at night even though we were next to onsite engine shed. Great to have the availability of food on site. Fantastic walks along the river and circular walk over the via ducts and into Kirby Stephen’s. Friendly helpful staff 😊
Disliked: Nothing

Liked: Everything. The lay out is really good and we especially liked how there are toilets right near where we camped. The Engine Shed is a really comfortable and chilled out place and very reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly and the site is very clean

Liked: We absolutely loved our stay, we came in the caravan first time for us, welcomed by a friendly face and gave us a spot right in front of the park for the children. The toilets and showers were very nice, clean and hot water. We also used the washing machine and dryer. Didn’t cost us much at all. The engine shed is beautiful and the children especially loved the fact there was a toy cupboard at the back. Food was delicious! I would say (if we were going to be picky) the drinks were a little pricey but it is a pub/restaurant and we were happy to put money into that as it was a great atmosphere, the staff were lovely. The food was really good and our friend were entertained too. We had some lovely walks and also visited the town. The water fall is definitely something to see. Very peaceful campsite. We were expecting there to be some noise because of it being Easter holidays and the engine shed not being far away but there was no noise at all after 9pm. The children slept well and we enjoyed the peace. Lovely holiday 😊
Disliked: Depending on where you wanted to visit, some places are about 40 minute drive away. We visited Kendal and Keswick which are both more than 40 minute drive away. If you were to visit a big supermarket. However there are so many walks near by and the town is only a 10 minute walk down the road which had a co-op and a spar.
