Понравилось Very friendly staff throughout. Fantastically clean facilities for all camping functions from water waste through to showers and toilets.
Efficient check in function.
The Engine Shed was absolutely awesome and the choice and quality of food on offer was the best in Iver twenty years of camping/caravanning and motorhoming.
Great location close to the town centre with a number of walking routes available.
Wi-Fi was awesome, so much so we didn't need any other suppliers (starlink or sims) for our needs which included streaming etc.
We will definitely be returning.

Не понравилось As a real ale drinker there could have been a better choice in the Engine Shed but it's really a subjective comment. It all depends on footfall and usage.

Понравилось A very friendly welcome to a beautiful park. Everything was wonderful. Pitches were spacious & level. Great facilities with an immaculate shower block & amazing showers.
Lovely bar inside & out with friendly staff.
Good choice of food with the added benefit of a breakfast hub on a weekend.
Close to lovely walks & within easy reach of the town.

Не понравилось The only thing was the hookup was a bit far away from our pitch so had to use an extension.

Не понравилось I was on pitch 2 and our friend on pitch 3 I reported to u that I could not get the tv to work u gave me a number to ring is name was John but cold not do anythingas he said it was out aerial he charged me £40 for nothing go back home today and tried the tv and it worked so.it was the signal on the cape so I payed £40 for nothing so would like u to refund me the money if u can ring me on 0749 6529410 asap before I leave feedback my friend was on pitch 3 and he had the same problem but I only had John from Apple something can u give me a call as I am not very happy joe mason

От менеджера: Hi Joe, sorry you feel this way. Most people can get TV signal on site however we do advise publicly that it isn’t perfect for reception, as we are nestled among many trees and hills. The pitches you were on are usually relatively good for signal.
Unfortunately if you have called an external mobile repair company to come to your van we cannot refund this as it is completely out of our control.
Sorry this has affected your stay us.

Понравилось Gorgeous campsite, all facilities are kept in immaculate condition and the pitches are lovely and private. The onsite bar is so quirky and the food and drinks were all perfect! Staff all super friendly and great customer service. Perfect location with lovely walks nearby - first time staying here and definitely won’t be the last!

Понравилось Tucked away in an area that was once part of the South Durham and Lancashire Union Railway route, Pennine View is a well maintained, friendly & welcoming site.
I visited out of season as I'm past the age of having to entertain kids (thankfully!) but a couple of families were also on the site and they looked well catered for. The facilities are top notch with ample toiletry and showering facilities, black & grey waste water areas, recycling and a small shop on site for essentials.
The pitch I had was lovely and large, providing ample room and space between pitches ... this appeared to be the same across the whole of the site.
There's a bar open between 16:00 - 22:00 in a beautifully re-imagined old railway shed. Food is also available on a daily rotating menu basis ... I sampled one of the pizzas which were freshly cooked from scratch and very delicious. The other menu items also sounded very appetising.
Kirkby Stephen is a 5 minute walk away, with many other lovely little Cumbrian towns not that much farther afield ... all worth a visit.
Hikers and walkers are spoilt for choice with a plethora of routes to discover. Too many to list here, just enter Kirkby Stephen walks into your favourite search engine to discover them!
In all honesty, I tend to stay at more "basic" sites as I enjoy the peace they generally provide but I wouldn't hesitate to book at Pennine View for another visit.

Не понравилось The only minor gripe I had was the wi-fi coverage. I was parked up by the engine shed which had a wireless access point inside and I struggled to get a signal in my camper (always an issue in a steel bodied vehicle anyway, Faraday Cage anybody?).
This has been an issue with every site I've ever stayed at so I'm not singling out Pennine View. Having retired from the IT industry recently I know how much a reliable wide-area wi-fi setup can cost and sites do have to be able to make an income on their investment.
So basically, a bit annoying for me personally but not a deal breaker.
