  • Easy access to footpaths and rights of way; dogs welcome
Welcome to Fairy Glen Campsite, a hidden gem in rural Cumbria. This family-friendly spot has sweeping views that look out over the gorgeous Duddon Estuary, a spacious pitching field and essential facilities – in short, all you need to have a wild-style camping trip in the Cumbrian countryside. The site is just to the south of the Lake District, roughly a mile from the small village of Soutergate. Need supplies from a supermarket? The larger town of Ulverston is 15 minutes' drive. Kirkby-in-Furness' village shop is also available approximately one and a half miles away; there's also a post office, a kids' play area, a tennis court, a bar and a train station here. This relaxed, informal space allows guests to pick their own pitch anywhere on the grass. Portaloo toilets are provided. Dogs are welcome at Fairy Glen Campsite, but please make sure that they're kept on leads and on their best behaviour at all times. Fairy Glen Campsite has easy access to a number of footpaths, bike routes and public rights of way, making it an excellent base for Lake District rambles, nature spotting or bike adventures in the South Lakeland area.
