What customers say
Great location for fells & Derwent Water. Staff are friendly, facilities clean (hot showers!), and it's a relaxed vibe. Fire pits rentable. Some noise from campers & basic facilities noted during busy times.

Primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite
Liked This campsite is in a great location with lovely views. The toilets onsite were really clean and fully stocked with everything you’d need. It’s a lovely campsite with flexibility of pitching wherever you want rather than having designated spaces. What we loved was the whole vibe of the place, the family running the site are very friendly and helpful and our stay here was very relaxed and chilled. We’ve stayed on many campsites/glamping sites before and we’ve found that lots of owners can be very strict on using your own logs, often making you buy them on site for a crazy price. But here, the owners were more than happy for you to use your own but they also were selling some for a good price. You can hire fire pits for £12 but you get £5 of that back when you return it, which I think is really good compared to other sites I’ve stayed on. Overall, a wonderful stay and would definitely go back.

Simple, beautiful and all you need.
Primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite
Liked The site was stunning, simple field with trees round the edges, a river to left as you go in behind the trees, we had a little paddle and float! The pop up type showers and toilets were better than expected. Clean and warm water, couldn’t ask for more. The owners on site are consistent at cleaning and offering help if you need it. Could hire fire pits and buy logs. We had the most wonderful stay as family group, thank you!

A really friendly welcome, nice flat pitches, clean hot showers, clean toilets and good washing up facilities, fire pits and wood also available. perfect location for Cat Bells and a 20 minute cycle in to Keswick, The pub 5 minutes up the road is also great! Great camp site. Great stay! Good location. ⛺️
Primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite
Liked Great campsite with good facilities. The toilet & showers were very clean. The showers are hot. There’s a sink to clean up pots & pans and there’s an extra tap at the top left end of the field next the to gate, which is also drinking water.
Ruby is very pleasant and we enjoyed our stay. Close to Keswick town, only 10 mins by car and close to Catbells which we hiked over whilst there.
The weather wasn’t great for us but we will definitely stay again. Good value for money. Easy to pitch. Great location.
Disliked The only thing I could say I disliked was the long walk to the loo as they are at the entrance of the site, but we pitched our tent at the opposite end of the field.
