What customers say
Peaceful site with lovely rural views & clean facilities. Great for walks & local pubs. Some found it basic, a bit tired, with small pitches & minor shower/lighting issues.

Quiet and uncrowded. County location. Facilities requires upgrading.
Powered gravel and earth travel trailer campsite
Liked Quiet location in the countryside , 1.5 miles away from the picturesque village of Cumwhitton. There’s a great inn there that serves lovely food.
Value for money. Not many pitches so not crowded. Facilities ie EUP and water near at hand.
Disliked Never saw the owner during our stay.
Very basic toilet block. One shower!
The toilet block and shower facilities require a total upgrade. Wooden structure with plastic corrugated roofing.
Flooring has different surfaces which had been painted over.

Not bad , dated and not for us.
Powered gravel and earth travel trailer campsite
Liked Rural and tranquil setting
Disliked Facilities a bit dated. Nobody about to talk to, there is no check in. Our electric cable wouldn't reach. A number of old statics on site, tried talking to residents however very rude and seemed a bit clickky.

Powered gravel and earth travel trailer campsite
Liked One of the most peaceful sites we have had the pleasure of staying at.
Our pitch was very flat with no need for levelling.
Very clean and well-maintained. Lovely bright flowers planted all over, too.
Local village with very good pub (book ahead) only a mile and a half up the road (no shop - not an issue for us at all but mentioning it just for others' information).
Small, family ran site which is what we love, and the owners were lovely.
BBQs and firepits allowed off the ground (firepits are even supplied with the pods!).
The bathrooms are lovely and kept clean - only had a couple of minor niggles (see "disliked").
We had some the best nights' sleep we've had while away in our van!
Disliked No lights in either of the bathrooms, we both had to use torches at night.
Only one shower between all the tourers, campers and pods. There was a bit of a wait and had to keep an eye on people coming and going.
The toilet cubicles are a little bit cramped (quite tall so knees touching the door!).
No detachable head on the shower.
Touring pitches are on the small-side. Perfect for campervans, more of an "issue" for motorhomes or caravans with awnings. You're very close to your neighbours, not much privacy (you can hear their conversations very clearly!).
Touring pitches don't have the best views but the views from the pod area and camping areas are fantastic and real sun-spots.
Pitches aren't reserved so it's first-come first-served.
The last mile or two to the site coming from either direction is on a very small road, not quite wide enough for 2 cars to pass so just take your time and be ready to pull into passing places/wait for cars and tractors to pass.
(**This wasn't an issue for us but again, just mentioning for others' information**)
None of these would stop us returning.
