  • Luxury cabins 20 minutes’ drive from Huddersfield in the Pennines
  • Folly Dolly Falls 15 minutes’ drive and Halifax Piece Hall 35 minutes
  • Fully equipped kitchens and ensuite showers; pubs five minutes’ drive
If you’re in search of a little luxury on your West Yorkshire sojourn, A Place In The Pennines might be right up your street. Set beside the Huddersfield Narrow Canal on the outskirts of the Pennine village of Marsden (five minutes’ drive), the site has hand-crafted units sleeping up to four guests and their dogs – and whether you’re intent on yomping across the moors, cycling steep dales or simply unwinding with a glass of wine under the stars, these cabins should have pretty much everything you need for relaxing stays. They are all surrounded by trees and each has a fully equipped modern kitchen, an ensuite with shower, and a woodburner for keeping everyone cosy on less clement days. Outside each unit is a private seating area with woodland views and room to park your car. As well as sitting on the canal, Marsden borders the River Colne and has a selection of waterside cafés and traditional pubs – probably just what you fancy after a day of embracing the fresh West Yorkshire air. And when you’re feeling that more pampering might just be in order, a holistic healing centre with a roster of relaxing treatments is five minutes’ drive away.
