Probably a weather dependent site would be amazing if field trimmed.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked: The staff on site throughout the bank holiday weekend were always on hand for very question/request or need. The barn was a great communal area for families to get out of the tents when the weather closed in. We pitched up on the communal fire pit at the top of the site which was great to socialise and allow the kids to play.
Disliked: The pitch where we had to place was very boggy and due to the busy nature of the site due to minimal pace been restricted even further due to the poor weather leading upto our stay.
Not water for washing up would be great from a hygiene point of view. The facilities could have been cleaner but were not unacceptable by any stretch. Due to the weeks weather before arriving the site had long grass which prohibited a suitable area for the children to play safely.

Liked: The beautiful barn, the exquisite afternoon tea, the warm bathrooms, super friendly hosts and laid bad atmosphere. Great access to public footpaths and walks too
Disliked: The beeping kids game in the barn was pretty annoying, and the field at the bottom got quite soggy.

From the manager: Thanks for the review! Going to get headphones for the kids in the Barn so tranquillity will be restored! Lovely to meet you and hope to see you again! :-)

Liked: Wonderful campsite run to raise funds for the mountain rescue team. Clean facilities, a nice barn with board games, a café where we had a delicious breakfast at a very reasonable price, and lovely hard-working hosts who were so helpful and put on a scavenger hunt and den building for the kids. Will definitely be back next year!
Disliked: Nothing to dislike!
