Liked: Peace and quiet being an adult only site
Disliked: Paperwork - couldn’t read it properly, couldn’t find the bins. It would have helped so much if paperwork map could be redone to show typed words to make it easier when looking for facilities we had to ask another caravanner where they were. The wood either side of the pitch was difficult when trying to park the car next to the van.

Liked: Place was nice and pitch was a great size. Staff were very friendly and on hand at all times. The bar area is really good with a nice outlook of the lake.
The toilet/shower blocks are beautiful tiled and spotlessly clean.
Disliked: Although our pitch had some old broken slabs on it, they are currently in the process of doing them up and the ones already done looked great.
Nothing in walking distance, I.e pub/restaurant or shops.

Liked: Very peaceful, not overcrowded. Small outdoor bar with patio area with a lot of seating and some games.
It appears that the only pitches available to buy for short stay are right in the back by the tree line which offers very little sunlight.
Disliked: Bathroom well maintained for the most part however ladies showers had mould on the seals.

Liked: Tranquility & location
Disliked: Unmanned reception - checked on arrival that it wouldn’t be a problem to leave around 8am & was reassured there would be someone there to open the exit gate & was given the contact no in case of any problem. But when we came to leave, nobody answered either the reception bell or the emergency no. We were locked in for half a hour leaving us very late for a 9am appointment. We only got out because another guest had a key fob for the gate!
In addition, the locks on the toilets near to our pitch didn’t work & picnic tables covered in cobwebs & goose poo gave the site an unkempt feel.

Liked: We stayed on this site at the start of a brief tour and absolutely loved it.
The site is under new management and they went above and beyond to make sure that the pitch we had was perfect, accessible for my wife on her scooter, next to one of the fishing lakes and quiet. The site toilets and showers are very good in one block and fine in the other block but the one I opened could do with a better lock 😳
There is cafe and bar on site which we used, very well priced and lovely views at the lake side seating. The site is secured and you can pay a refundable deposit to get a remote for the gate if like us you are in and out seeing the local sites.
Don’t know how we’ve missed this one before but we will definitely be back.
Disliked: Being fussy, having to pay for Wi-Fi

Liked: Big, fully serviced pitches overlooking the lake. How quiet and tranquil the park was despite being a bank Holiday. How easy it was to catch a fish on my first time fishing in their well stocked lakes, AJ's bar! The very friendly and welcoming owners who have not long took it over. And last but not least the wonderful dawn who was run off her feet all weekend but nothing was too much trouble and she always had a smile and was willing to help with anything!
Disliked: Nothing

Liked: This site is very peacefull and somewhere you can chill out and the husband can fish.
Great staff especially Dawn and Col who run around like headless chickens to be able to make everything just perfect also providing everyone with great snacks and meals and serving you with whatever tipple you prefer they both work very hard and are fabulous people .
Disliked: I think the price is reasonable if the fishing was included in the price for people staying or at least half price like most sites do .
I also hope now that there are statics going on this site that they do not spoil it by getting to big as it's perfect just as it is .
This is advertised as adult only but permanent residents a lodge owners are allowed kids .this means it's not adult only . Toilets need cleaning more often and plenty of toilet rolls required as there was none on many occasions also disabled toilet lock broken
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Tracey... What can we say... we love your visits lol!
We are reviewing the fishing prices.
Currently there are no plans for any more statics.
Children are only allowed to visit family of seasonal pitches holders & lodges for 1 night & they must stay within the boundaries for the pitch.
At the time of your stay we were short staffed due to multiple staff illnesses, we can only apologise that this had an impact on the usual impeccable cleanliness of our toilets. this issues has now been resolved & we are back to being fully staffed. We have also fixed the toilet door lock.
As always we can't wait to see you again, many thanks :)
