Terrific host, acres of space, great views
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked If...IF...you can find Hedley-on-the-Hill, you'll like it here. Our host, Richard (if I recall correctly), is irrepressibly chirpy and the local village is very quaint. There's acres of space, pitch anywhere you wish, with water taps and well-tended portaloos dotted around. The fields are gently sloping, but adequately flat along the peripheries and the ground is perfectly peg-friendly. And, yes, the views are grand indeed...as long as it isn't absolutely tipping down or so positively baltic by morning your eyes have frosted over, as on our trip!!

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Pete is the loveliest guy and he and the others running the site were so friendly, checking in on everyone regularly (around working a farm!). I found my car wouldn’t start when I was due to leave and he got a couple of the guys over to me to jump start the car. The site is clean, loads of space, fantastic scenery and so peaceful. Thanks so much for having us.
