The fresh coffee caravan / picnic area

General

  • Family-run touring park five minutes' drive from Snaith
  • Within 45 minutes' drive of attractions in Leeds, York and Hull
  • Easy access to M62, M18 and A1; train station five minutes' drive away

Get set to get busy – family-run touring site Apple Blossom Caravan and Camping Park, 15 minutes’ drive from Goole, is in a cracking East Yorkshire location for lots of days out.

This handy spot is surrounded by quiet countryside but within easy reach of several main roads (including the A1, M18 and M62 – good news for straightforward arrivals and departures too). It’s also within easy reach of the market town of Snaith, a five-minute drive away for pubs, a deli, a chippy and a small supermarket.

Those excellent road connections mean that a whole swathe of the north east becomes doable for day trips: shopping days in Leeds, ambles on the Shambles in York and coming face to face with underwater critters at The Deep in Hull are all around a 45-minute drive away. Snaith’s also got a train station if you fancy abandoning your wheels for the day.

If you’re more in the mood for country pursuits, take a wander on the nature trail that passes the site, play a round of golf 10 minutes’ drive away, or bring bikes to pedal off on the network of cycle paths nearby.

On site, there’s plenty of space to recuperate and refresh after whatever activity you selected – pitches are sizeable and well marked out, allowing for outdoor seating, barbecues, firepits and chimineas (these last few on a hard surface please, to avoid scorching the well-tended grass). Nippers can let off steam at the play park in the meadow (it's designed for under-12s and open from 10am to 8pm each day; kids must be supervised at all times).

Please note

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, customers can amend their dates with the campsite/holiday park free of charge for all stays up to, and including, 12/31/2021.

At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.

Minimum spacing of 6 metres between pitches.

Group bookings of 2 or more units (e.g. tent, touring caravan, motorhome or accommodation hire) travelling together are not permitted via Pitchup.com.

The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).

Only stayed one night, testing a new tent.

Great site, well laid out, covid procedures in place, good electric hookup, shop, toilets, indeed everywhere was very clean and tidy and despite being very windy stayed that way. Staff were courteous and very pleasant. Would have loved to try the burger van and full english breakfast, but we'll save that for the next visit, when we have more time. ;)

Will definitely be returning as it's only 20 minutes from home and a great little getaway!

Gorgeous camp site. Quiet and peaceful. Lovely park area for children to play. Lovely little on site self serve caravan cafe. Staff really helpful and thoughtful, went above and beyond to help. Before we even arrived and signed in due to weather and other campers moved our pitch to a more sheltered quieter pitch so my daughter could have peaceful nights sleep 😊 which I thought was really nice gesture. Food van on site for the weekend takeaways 😋 very nice food. Atmosphere was really nice. Would definitely come back again.

hello, Thank you for leaving us this lovely feedback. we are super pleased you had a good time.

The logs and kindling kits are specially shipped in and guaranteed to burn and are smokeless - i know they are slightly more pennies but you will definitely enjoy a great fire-pit that burns well and delivered to your pitch hassle free :-)

We really appreciate you leaving us a lovely review and we hope to see you again another time. all the best Lisa & Dean x

Local attractions

York (40 minutes’ drive) is always a good choice for a day out: experience the sights and smells of days of yore at the Jorvik Viking Centre, see the old trains at the National Railway Museum or take a wander around the city centre, visiting the minster and taking a walk on the Shambles. Intrigued by a tempting sweet smell? That could well be the lure of York's Chocolate Story, where you can learn about its history and see professional chocolatiers in action.

Shopaholics and cultured types will always find plenty to keep them busy over in Leeds (45 minutes), and those who can’t get enough of the natural world should aim for outings to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park (35 minutes), and Hull’s excellent aquarium The Deep (45 minutes).

Ready for a rural day? Take walks locally or ride bikes to meet the friendly animals that live at Bankend Tearoom (20 minutes’ walk) or stroll into Snaith (an hour) to take a tour of Old Mill Brewery and sample some of its fine wares.
