The Hive 1 bedroom lodge
Liked: We used this as a base for two nights in late September for doing the Three Peaks.
It was vital to have somewhere nice to stay the night before so we could be rested and have a short drive to the starting point and even more importantly a short drive 'home' after a long and gruelling challenge.
We stayed in the 'The Hive' which has a lovely Bee theme throughout. The cabin structure with Pine interior looks and smells amazing. It had all the facilities we needed to cook and chill out. The WiFi was a godsend due to poor phone signal as expected.
The central heating works really well as the building is very well insulated and we were toasty warm, having it turn it off quite soon due to actually being too warm!
Our hosts were very friendly and it was all round a lovely stay. I'd highly recommend it.
