Very busy and pretty noisy but good facilities and clean toilets!
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite (overflow)
Liked The facilities are good, having a shop on site is helpful and the showers were pretty good. Really organised and easy check in.
Disliked Way too busy, hardly any room to pitch tent specially if you want to be best friends, was very noisy on an evening.

Location…
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite (overflow)
Liked Location
Disliked Over sold on the pitches. After going into the reception we then drove around the over flow area to find no spaces whatsoever. A very disappointing experience and after travelling 2 hours there so see an over crowded field was not our idea of our holiday weekend. I totally understand that it’s bank holiday weekend in the summer but they need to stop selling when full. They classed that as 75% full with more people arriving the next day! NO THANK YOU! Such a shame as it could have been lovely and they could have had returning custom from us.

From the manager: Thank you for sharing your feedback. When you arrived there was plenty of space available, and many guests who checked in after you had no issues finding a pitch. You chose to camp in the overflow field during the busiest bank holiday of the year - the very fact it is called an overflow field should have been a clear hint that the park would be busy. Being at capacity is not the same as being oversold, it simply means the park is full. This is not the right time to camp if you are looking for extra space and quiet. We are not concerned about losing return custom from guests who should not be booking a commercial coastal park in the first place.
Ok site could be amazing with a little bit more maintenance.
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Views, location, freedom to pitch wear you liked. My daughter loved the pool slides. Great kids playground.
Disliked Site seemed dirty / poorly maintained. Lots of rubbish or broken discarded camping equipment just left by selfish campers and then not cleared up (general litter as well as discarded pegs everywhere, empty equipment bags, a washing up bowl, damaged tent etc.). In general the pool was great for kids but there was an issue with ventilation, it gave both my daughter and I mild breathing problems and hoarse throat from the air in the room. Expensive for 2 persons and no electric considering the above. I expected higher standard for the price.

Lovely site in an excellent location.
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Nice camp site in a beautiful location. The views are incredible. Facilities are decent. Shop is well stocked and reasonably priced. Fish and chip shop was lovely. Swimming pool is small but reasonably priced and the water temperature was lovely. Bar area is a little dated but nice enough and the staff were sound.
Site is very well located to get around the local area with direct access to the Cleveland Way and regular buses coming to the entrance of the site.
It’s funny to read people complaining about the wind. Yes it can be windy, but the site is on the top of a cliff facing the North Sea. I’m not sure what people were expecting.
Disliked Check in/out time states 12:00 on this website. A large group of campers descended around our pitch at around 10:45/11:00 as we were packing up and started pitching up around our spot. Would have been nice to have been afforded the time to enjoy our last couple of hours on the site without feeling pressured to move out of their way. Bit of a shame as it soured our last day a little bit but not a huge deal in the grand scheme of things.
Toilets were a little grim at times but this is more because people seemingly either don’t know how to flush a toilet or don’t feel the need to clean up after themselves. After cleaning the toilet / shower block was impeccable and I don’t suppose the staff can do much about what people do between these times.
There are not many level pitches on the site but I don’t suppose there is much the owners can do about the local geography! Didnt cause any issues, just something to bear in mind.

From the manager: Thank you for your detailed review, we’re delighted you enjoyed the location, facilities and atmosphere on the park. As you mentioned, the cliff-top setting does mean it can be breezy at times but the views are worth it. Check-out time is 12 noon and we encourage arriving guests to be mindful of those still packing up, so we’re sorry if you felt rushed on your last morning. Our facilities are cleaned regularly throughout the day, but of course we can’t control how they are left in between cleans. We hope to welcome you back again soon.
Friendliness of the staff and campers,…
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Friendliness of the staff and campers, respectful and low level noise. This was our first visit to crows nest and we are already looking to come back next year.
Disliked Our only critique would be how quickly the showers turn off. I counted 8 seconds and then you would have to hit the button to bring the water back on.

From the manager: Thank you for your kind comments about our team and the friendly atmosphere on the park, it’s great to hear you are already planning to return next year. We appreciate your feedback on the showers – they are push-button to help with water conservation, but we will keep your comments in mind when reviewing our end of season improvements. We look forward to welcoming you back.
Great location and views
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked The views, and the location were fabulous
We haven't been too this area before
So it was a great destination for Scarborough and Filey not being too far away, garage closed by, the plough and also added too the attractions was the circus close by.
The over flow camping area looked stunning can that actually be requested instead of the top ? And really close too all the attractions, the shop is very well stocked just had everything a great shop for camping and touring
Disliked Required abit more maintenance, girls right toilet lock is faulty at the bar, my daughter struggled too unlock it and panicked. At the end of the tent pitches the gates broken and lying on the floor and rubbish lying about out at the back of camp where people were enjoying walks about so abit of an eye sore. Camping pitches and gravel path appeared quite uneven in areas with tents quite often very close too each other or cars parking in people's way, even though only a few tents on over flow which actually would have been a great spot too pitch up

From the manager: Thank you for your review. We’re delighted you enjoyed the location, views and nearby attractions, as well as finding the shop well stocked. The overflow field is only used at the busiest times of year, so unfortunately it cannot be requested all year round, but we’re pleased you thought it looked like a great spot.
We appreciate your feedback on the maintenance points. Our team will look into the toilet lock and gate, and we continue to monitor the grounds to ensure the site is well kept. We’re glad you had a good stay overall and hope to welcome you back.
Excellent site on whole and would stay again, no question
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Facilities, excellent. Clean, plenty of them. Park for kids. Views. Decent shop at good prices. Hard not to like all.
Disliked Not lots of options for a flat pitch but plenty of space for acceptable levels.
The ease people without paying for site could come and use facilities without anyone knowing they wasn’t a guest there.
Went swimming and the lockers need £1, not everyone has cash on them these days. Many just used lockers and didn’t pay to lock. We did same, unfortunately it led to my lightening McQueen crocs being stolen from my locker. If a family of 4 make sure you have £2 as lockers small and will require 2 of them.
Staff did look at cctv for me but we were pretty disappointed in the effort in this, for what was only a 1 hour period that needed checking, was done in a way we felt they didn’t care to much really. If something had been seen they could easily of been somone from off site anyway. Pool was small but great for kids with the slides. Just be sure to lock your items up.

From the manager: Thank you for your comments. We’re glad you enjoyed the facilities, shop and views.
With regards to the pool, lockers require a £1 coin which is returned after use. This system is in place so guests can keep their belongings secure. Our team spent time scrolling through CCTV footage to try and help, but as the locker had not been locked, there was little that could be done. It’s disappointing when our staff are criticised for not “caring enough” when in fact the problem arose from choosing not to use the locker correctly.
We’re pleased your children enjoyed the slides and hope the positives of your stay outweigh this issue.
Good clean toilet facilities. A good shop on, very good prices.

Liked Nice tidy site. Amazing views, friendly and laid back. Will definitely go again
Disliked The wind

Our favourite camping site.
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Everything. The location is great with lots to do between Bridlington, Filey and Scarborough. Facilities clean and plentiful. The bar area had kids entertainment like disco and party games which were really good and interactive. Not people in costumes miming to recorded stories like some sites! Live entertainment with a singer who had everyone dancing. The pool is small with slides which all the kids loved. Climbed down the cliff side and observed seals. The views are spectacular.
Disliked Nothing we love this place.

From the manager: Thank you for such a wonderful review. It’s fantastic to hear how much you enjoyed the entertainment, pool, facilities and of course the views. We’re delighted you love staying with us and look forward to welcoming you back again soon.
Good site for exploring surrounding areas. Wouldn’t camp there again.
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Being able to pitch a larger tent, unlike some sites.
Ideal base for Scarborough, Bridlington, etc
Shop is very well stocked.
Play park for the kids was great. My grandson loves going there.
Disliked The wind is horrendous, I knew it was on the cliff facing the sea, but omg, it never let up, unable to sit out and relax and had to stay inside tent.
Tents pitched close to each other.
Quite noisy on a night, should have a rule where it’s quiet from 10.30pm.
Toilets and showers were dirty, it was packed so that’s understandable, but they should have had staff cleaning regularly throughout the day.
Never saw any staff having a ride around checking everything was ok.
Could do with a bit of a freshen up all over.
Oh and pitches were on a slant. Hard to find a flat surface.

From the manager: Thank you for your detailed feedback. We’re pleased you enjoyed the location, shop and play park for your grandson. While the site can be breezy at times, it is obviously not always windy. Our toilets and showers are cleaned regularly throughout the day, though of course they will be used in between cleans. We do not operate a 10.30pm quiet time, but we do ask all guests to be considerate of others. If you are looking for a silent campsite in August then we are not the right choice. We’ll take on board your comments and are glad you enjoyed aspects of your stay.
