  • Amazing views overlooking romantic ruins of Byland Abbey
  • Wild and basic camping
Just outside the pretty village of Wass, a grassy lane leads to Carr House Farm with amazing views to the east, south, and west. Set on the edge of the North York Moors National Park and overlooking the Howardian Hills - an area of outstanding natural beauty. See the sunrise and the sunset and enjoy the sited barbecue for everyone to use. Please note this is basic camping and there is a chemical toilet cubicle in the field. No showers are available on site. The campsite is ideal for a tranquil stay. In fact, the quieter you are the more chance to see a visiting deer along with other wildlife. Take a walk in search of the flora and fauna of the woodland. If you do not fancy cooking your own breakfast, you can order it on site. They even sell homemade sausages.
