  • Quiet site in the Yorkshire Dales one mile from Ingleton Waterfalls
  • A 10-minute drive from White Scar Cave; access to the waterfall trail
  • Ingleton village within walking distance for pubs, shops and eateries
Off to the Yorkshire Dales to delve down into caves or to venture up into the Yorkshire Three Peaks? Whether it’s caverns, waterfall trails or the mountains that have drawn you to this area, Falls Park makes a quiet and spacious dog-friendly base in a handy spot a mile from Ingleton and 10 minutes’ drive away from White Scar Cave and 20 minutes from Kirkby Lonsdale (a historic market town with the medieval Devil’s Bridge). From here you’ll be off to see waterfalls in no time, as the site has access to the nearly five-mile Ingleton Waterfalls Trail, a long-established and popular trail that's all about the sublime scenery. Please note that access to the Waterfalls Trail is an additional cost for customers. On top of that, the site itself has views of a limestone valley and Ingleborough, one of the Yorkshire Three Peaks and a prime spot for a challenging hike between the summits. Peaceful’s the vibe here, as that’s how the site has been planned and designed, so you’ll be all ready to unwind with the scenic Yorkshire Dales landscape surrounding you. Facilities include a chemical toilet disposal point, drinking water points, washing-up room, wifi and an amenities block with a male, female and disabled toilet and shower. With Ingleton village within walking distance (an hour and 10 minutes’ walk away or 10 minutes’ drive), powering up before your next outing is easily done, thanks to its food shops, restaurants, tearooms and pubs. Please note there is a steep single-track road to access the site, which is very narrow. Whilst there are occasional passing places on the lane, this site is only suitable for campervans and motorhomes.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite

Liked This was such a lovely site! The views from our pitch were incredible, the facilities were really clean and showers nice and warm (not a shower curtain in sight!) and the site was perfect.

If you like views and walks, get it booked! We did the waterfall trail, but you can also access ingleton town on that trail too (a couple of miles) for some food food and pub choices.

You need £20 cash for a fob to get to the toilets. This is because the site is on the walking trail, so there are public toilets, a snack hatch but then also the much nicer toilets you need the fob for.

Disliked Not a dislike, but the toilets are more of a walk than we're used to - fine but take a torch with you if you're like me and always need a wee in the night!

Powered cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite

Liked Beautiful scenery from all angles. Fantastic shower and toilet facilities that were spotless and looked very new. Very friendly welcoming staff and great walking country.

Disliked Main shower block and toilets were quite a trek from the touring field although there was a toilet block nearer that could be used. There was a lot of constant noise from nearby quarry from 7.30 am until about 4pm ( we were there on a weekday)

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked The landscape was stunning. The washroom facilities were top class. Staff were helpful. The site was friendly. Camping pitches were well spread out and the immediate pitch area was level. Immediate access to the trail and waterfalls.

Disliked Children putting stones in the middle of the small road used to access the site. Reckless.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite

Liked We loved the location and pitch sizes also lovely facilities, the owners were lovely and very helpful. We didn’t kno it was smack bang in the middle of the waterfall trail and was perfect for the heatwave we were having also a great little shop .

Disliked The trek back from the village was a challenge in the heat but a lovely little village with a micro brewery made up for it .

Powered cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite

Liked Beautiful site with fantastic views. Lots of walks nearby including a section of the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail and an across fields track to White Scar Caves. Facilities were very well maintained and immaculately kept We particularly liked having separate cubicles for showering and personal washing. The site management were very friendly and helpful. Newly installed Wifi was a bonus.

Disliked We don't use Sat Nav and found the road to the campsite difficult to find from Ingleton village. A sign saying Falls Park Campsite at the junction of Main Street and The Rake in Ingleton village would have sent us in the right direction without touring the village 3 times much to the locals amusement.

Local attractions

So where should you set your compass to first? There are impressive scenes all around, from guided tours around the longest show cave in Britain, White Scar Cave (10 minutes’ drive) to the mighty 104-foot-high Ribblehead Viaduct (15 minutes) with its 24 arches towering over the moorlands. The threads of nature run strong here too and that’s evident from Gisburn Forest (40 minutes), where walking, cycling and mountain biking trails are just some of the ways to snake through the treetops and spy on skulking wildlife. There’s a nature trail over at Ingleborough Cave (20 minutes) too – but of course cave walks are where the action’s really at. Up towards the sky instead, the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge (half an hour) might already be the quest you have in mind, but if not, perhaps you’ll want to give the 24-mile route over Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-ghent a go while you’re here. For an easier day out, take a hike around Malham Cove (40 minutes) or stroll around Skipton (45 minutes), a market town with lots of places to eat, as well as a traditional town hall, castle, museum and gallery.
