With hardstanding pitches, all supplied with water, this is the sort of place where you can take things at your own pace. There are 10 acres of land for any morning or evening dog walks, and quiet country lanes in the surrounding area, which are just the thing for longer walks or cycling. On a quiet day, you might want to take it easy and visit one of four local villages with at least one pub. These include Brandesburton, which has a handful of pubs five minutes’ drive away, or Seaton, which has a pub within 40 minutes’ walk of the site. There’s also a large garden centre with a restaurant 20 minutes’ walk away if you fancy pottering around the plants and eating something nice. The days where you’re seeking a little more action might be spent in Hornsea, which is 10 minutes’ drive from Catfoss Park. This traditional Victorian seaside town has a peaceful beach and a promenade should you wish to go for a scenic stroll. Rinse off the sea water when you arrive back on site, as the facilities include a shower and a toilet block.
