  • Peaceful site in a nature reserve on the East Yorkshire coast
  • Bempton Cliffs 20 minutes' walk; Bridlington 15 minutes' drive
  • Dog-friendly pop-up site 10 minutes' walk from local shops and pub
What a location for birdwatchers, dog owners, walkers… and in fact anyone that’s craving a coastal getaway in East Yorkshire. The Grange Holidays is set within the Flamborough Outer Headlands Nature Reserve, about 20 minutes' walk from the popular birdwatching spot at Bempton Cliffs. It’s not just seabirds that you’ll come across around here – at this peaceful nature-filled site you're also likely to hear owls hooting at dusk while you get your barbecue going (they’re allowed on site as long as the weather isn’t too dry or windy). The village of Flamborough is about a 10-minute walk away so it's easy enough to pick up some supplies from the butcher, fishmonger or convenience store (or to find an ice cream shop, a café or a pub). Pitches here are on a two-acre field that’s got a gentle slope in places and is home to a washroom trailer with toilets, showers and hot-water sinks. This is no shabby old trailer though: it’s a timber-framed structure with recycled wood cladding and a composite roof that allows plenty of daylight in (and there’s also good lighting to help you find your way around after dark). This is a laidback pop-up site where kids and dogs are welcome and the lack of light pollution means some fabulous stargazing on clear nights. There are plenty of great walks nearby, including trails to the nearest beaches (about two miles away).

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Peaceful and well kept site,
Shops, pubs, cafes etc only 10 mins walk into Flamborough.
Nature trails all close by with miles of coastline walks.
Toilets and showers very clean.
A nice hot shower after walking all day was perfect.
Extras like dog treats, hand wash, shower gel and washing up liquid were an added bonus and a nice touch.
Very pleasant staff on site daily to check and clean facilities, also very informative.
An overall impressive and enjoyable stay and would definitely visit again.
Thanks

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Great value for money. Peaceful with good washroom facilities with hot (scalding) water. Walking distance from all sides of the coast. Pitches were marked on the grass, big enough for 8 person tent and a car.

Disliked I didn't have that issue as it was quiet during my stay (around 10 people) but 2 showers, 4 toilets and 1 dishwashing sink may not be enough during busy times.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Easy to find. Lovely field for pitching and lovely views. Really great facilities. Toilets and showers were extremely clean and beautifully lit up on an evening, with plenty of spare toilet roll available. The wash area for hands and pots was also extremely clean and they had washing up liquid, dog bowls and a whole tin of dog biscuits available which was a really lovely touch.
They also had all sorts of games out for children to play with, benches to sit on and goal posts to use which was also a lovely touch. Really fantastic facilities and site. Also had internet signal which was great.

Disliked Nothing.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Loved this campsite! Peaceful location but near enough to grab any basics you need in Flamborough, and the best beaches and bays rights on the doorstep. Site was signposted and really easy to find and access the camping field. Field was level and tent areas marked out. Loved the washing facilities and toilet/shower area, all lit up by twinkle lights on a night, definitely gave magical Gruffalo vibes being in the trees over a little bridge! Pot washing area had washing liquid and a sponge for anyone who might have forgotten it. Doggy poop bags available. We didn’t go with a dog or young children but nice to see the owners had considered their needs. There was a small football goal and some communal outdoor toys to play with. The owner always about every day to chat to; reminded guests it was a no-noise on a night park which was nice. Nobody begrudges fun times camping, but nice to get some sleep. Toilet areas always spotlessly clean. Would definitely return.
