Immaculately kept site, large level pitches w/ hookups. Friendly owners, clean facilities (toilets, dishwashing). Kids loved the new playground. Secure gates & peaceful location near Hamsterley Forest. Animals a bonus! Portable units noted as small but very clean.

Liked Lovely warm and friendly welcome
Very clean
Plot was spacious allowing privacy. Didn't feel overlooked.
Good for kids, safe secure, play area and the animals in the field next door were a joy. Daughter loved watching them and they even came up to her! (Deers, donkey, goat, geese).
Thank you. We would love to return one day.

Disliked There was nothing to really dislike but info to support other visitors is that they have a small shop but it wasn't open before we had to leave site at 11am. We were hoping we could buy some milk.
Finally there wasn't a lot of room in the shower (type of portashower cubicle) to get dried and changed after, but it was very clean and plenty hot water. We had dry robe and changed in the tent!

Liked Everything! The family who run the site were so friendly & welcoming. The whole site was extremely clean and each pitch is a great size. The toilets are portaloo type cabins but have proper sinks & toilets and are cleaned throughout the day and toilet roll/hand soap etc. replenished regularly and smell so pleasant. The washing up area is lovely and clean and even has clean sponges and washing up liquid available. There is fresh water on each pitch which comes straight from the well as well as an electric outlet which was really handy. Each pitch has a picnic bench and well maintained grass (tent pitch). The site is small & has a one way system for any vehicles which are asked to not move from 8/9pm at night (can’t remember which) to not disturb others which is great if you have kids. The kids play area is a lovely clean and well maintained wooden frame with 2 slides & 3 swings, one of which is an accessible one which is amazing, the play park can only be used between 10am - 9pm to not disturb others. We will 100000% be returning.

Liked The setting looking over the fields towards the hills with the deer, donkey and geese in the adjacent field. Peaceful campsite, water "on tap" at the pitch plus electric plug in. Beth, who greeted us with a huge smile and advised us of local places to visit. Toilets and showers though not plentiful were kept very clean and hot water was always available.

Disliked Nothing to dislike.

Liked Wow! What an amazing place to stay! The site is a small family run facility, great onsite presence to answer any questions and support. The pitches are immaculate as is the rest of the site, great toilets and shower were always clean with a fabulous dish washing area. There is a fab play area for the kids as well. Loved watching the animals living next to the site, they provided endless entertainment 😁

Liked Excellent small site with individual pitches marked out by bushes so you have your own space. The owners are so lovely and will do anything to help you. They keep the toilets/showers extremely clean. Please be aware the toilets are in small portaloos, however this didn’t bother us because they were kept so clean. The washing up area is the best I’ve ever seen with beautiful decorations hanging up and the owner even provides cleaning accessories. Picnic bench provided. The location is beautiful with fantastic views.

Disliked The donkey in the field next door woke us up a few times a night!

Liked Nice friendly staff, the site was kept very tidy . The wash and toilet area was regularly cleaned . The animals were entertaining, especially Keith the donkey who was funny, me and my son will be asking for a fence pitch next year so we have a ring side seat!. Great for nearby Hamsterley forest biking/walking.

Disliked Toilet and shower facilities could be a bit bigger, but having said that they were spotless.
