Route directions

Frog's Hall Camping is situated on a quiet country lane, just off the A140. Proceed approx 1/2 mile up Braiseworth Lane and you will see Frog's Hall (white thatched cottage) on your left hand side. Continue another 100yds and the gate access to the site is situated on your left. Approaching northbound up the A140, Braiseworth Lane is the second right turn after the White Horse Public House at the Thornham crossroads. Approaching southbound down the A140, Braiseworth Lane is the first left turn after the B1117 to Eye. Please note! The signpost to Braiseworth is easy to miss and the junction quite narrow, so it is recommended to approach with caution and indicate your intentions early.

Local attractions

Frog's Hall Camping is located in a small hamlet approximately one mile outside the Town of Eye. Situated on the border of Suffolk and Norfolk, we make an excellent base from which to explore all that is available from both picturesque counties. Eye has much history with its own castle remains and period buildings all located within a short walking distance from the town centre. Eye can be reached by road and footpaths from the campsite and with its Pub, Restaurant and cafes, makes for an excellent destination for a leisurely walk. For more information see the Eye Community website. Thornham Walks is only a mile away and is again easily reached by car or on foot. The Thornham Estate has numerous footpaths which wind their way through beautiful countryside taking visitors into ancient parkland, woodland and farmland. You will also find the Forge Tea rooms and the Coach House restaurant for those seeking refreshments before your short trip back to the campsite. For those steam train enthusiasts amongst you, there is a great little railway called Mid Suffolk Light Railway and Steam Heritage Museum at nearby Brockford, Wetheringsett (less than 5 miles away). Also approx 10 miles away there is the fabulous Bressingham Steam Museum and Gardens which has over five miles of tracks and four different train journeys to choose from. Surrounding the steam activities is over 10 acres of beautiful gardens to walk around. Every August Bank Holiday Weekend the local EYE SHOW & Country Fair takes place in nearby Palgrave. We have previously watched the Red Arrows from Frog's Hall Campsite!
