What customers say
A lovely, tranquil campsite by scenic lakes, great for wildlife spotting. Pitches are spacious, and facilities are clean and well-kept. Owners are friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi can be spotty, and more showers/toilets would be welcome.

Beautiful setting for a relaxed, peaceful site with a friendly welcome
Primitive grass campsite
Liked This is a beautiful and very peaceful site, but also without pretention. We had a lovely friendly welcome. The toilet and shower facilities were plenty clean and well maintained, with plenty of hot water. There was decent washing up space as well, and a separate toilet block with a whole bunch of tourist information for the local area available.
Really appreciated the added extras, like basic tennis racquets available so we could use the court on site, and a selection of games available for rainy days (of which we did have a few).
Disliked Nothing really - we seemed to be there at peak wasp season but that's nobody's fault..!

Primitive grass campsite
Liked The campsite was in a lovely location - the local pub is amazing! There’s lots of wildlife and it was peaceful. Fire pits were available and wood could be purchased on site.
I am told there was a games shed for the kids which was a nice addition, as were the tennis courts. There was wifi and it worked well when you were within range.
The toilets/ showers were acceptably maintained, but keep your shoes on in the shower because there are frogs everywhere!! The little bridges over the lake add some lovely charm.
Disliked My main issue was that there is goose poo everywhere. I imagine it’s not too bad if you’re in a caravan, but as someone staying in a tent it wasn’t great.
I did feel like the tents on the non-electric pitches felt like an afterthought, being situated in one corner away from everyone else. It felt a bit like a caravan site which allowed non electric pitches as a way to make some extra money.
There could also do with being more wood available as we ran out!
