  • Friendly and simple site a short walk from the river in Loddon
  • Great Yarmouth and BeWILDerwood within a half-hour drive
  • Pubs, cafés, shops and bus stops within a few minutes' walk
What’s it to be for your Norfolk break – beach days, country walks, boating around the Broads, active adventures, city strolls, sipping cider in the pub? Mix and match as you please when you stay at Loddon Oasis Camping, a simple and friendly site in the little town of Loddon. This attractive little riverside town is a fabulously convenient one for all sorts of days out, so you should never want for things to do while you're staying here. And the site’s setting is very handy too, within just a few minutes' walk of the town’s shops, cafés, pubs, bus stops and other amenities. Dogs are welcome on site, and there’s plenty of space nearby for them (and you) to stretch legs on a riverside walk. If you're not feeling quite so active, settle on the riverbank for a bit of fishing. This small and simple site prides itself on being a friendly place with a great community spirit. Families, couples and solo adventurers are all equally welcome, and will be encouraged to rest and unwind in this lovely chilled-out location. Barbecues are permitted for those who fancy a bit of outdoor cookery, although it should be noted that there’s a fish and chip shop just over the road… As a fuss-free site, the facilities have been kept on the simple side, but you'll have access to essentials like toilets, showers and picnic tables.

Powered grass travel trailer campsite

Liked Friendly welcome, clean but basic facilities , but improvements are being made all the time. Lovely village of Loddon, with goid pubs, take aways , and general stores, excellent walking and cycling from the site.

Disliked Surrounding areas adjoining the site need,a good tidy up. These spoil the ambiance and atmosphere of the site.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked What an amazing place! For a simple camp it is extremely comfortable. Washing and toilet facilities are well maintained and cleaned and warm water is plentiful. Upon arriving we were greeted and made to feel extremely welcome. The site also has high powered free WiFi which I managed to connect to (perfect for rainy days) the new management are currently in the process of installing a children's play area which will be brilliant although my 3 boys ( 3,6 and8 years old) had the time of their lives without it. Local amenities are plentiful with a shop 3 pubs and 4 take aways within a 1 minute walk. The new management are making an amazing effort with the site and I can see it becoming extremely popular for next summer. I for 1 will 100% be returning in 2026!

Disliked Only downside which is unavoidable was the wasps. The management put deterrents and traps in place the minute we me toned them and it helped immensely!

Powered grass travel trailer campsite

Liked Large spaced area and good distance from neighbors on either side.Jack a very pleasant young man saw me in.mari a was small but pleasant to sit by and relax. There was only one shower at the moment with 2 toilet cubicles.. which one of the door lock was broken. The shower was brilliantly hot and clean, large shower. There's a pub at the entrance of the site ant at least 2 to3 in the village within 5 minutes of walking, as is the Chinese fish a d chip, kebab Co op and various other shops. There's a bus stop just outside with a 20 minutes ride I to norwhich

Disliked I must say that Jack, has just taken over this site, and is trying to establish himself and is working hard to achieve this and I'm sure he will succeed if he carries on with his positive attitude. There is a bit of a way to go and good luck.
Grass needs attention as does the mole hills. Need signs to your your location...or make a point that the Kings Head pub is the turning to destination. More positive directions for parking and tents.

Local attractions

One of the major draws in Norfolk is The Broads National Park – and you'll easily be able to explore the waterways from here, perhaps hiring a boat from Loddon Marina or canoes from Beccles (15 minutes' drive). Walks and bike rides are equally rewarding in these landscapes, and there are loads of woodland activities and adventures to throw into the mix at BeWILDerwood Norfolk (half an hour). The coast is just as enticing of course; top spots nearby include Great Yarmouth (25 minutes) for an action-packed day at the beach and amusements, or Winterton-on-Sea (40 minutes) for a quieter wander through the dunes. Heading inland instead, Norwich (25 minutes) has a castle and cathedral, plus lots of indie shops and places to eat. Keeping the kids busy should be a cinch around here, what with the likes of Africa Alive (25 minutes), Pleasurewood Hills Family Theme Park (half an hour) and Pettitts Animal Adventure Park (35 minutes) to visit. For grownup days, try Chet Valley Vineyard (five minutes), Henstead Exotic Gardens (20 minutes) or Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum (20 minutes).
