Liked Lovely location, great facilities and peaceful. It was easy to find our pitch and get settled.
Disliked The ground seemed to have rocks/stones underneath making it tricky to get our tent pegs in. WiFi was quite slow. The trail walks shown on the board next to reception was tricky to find/follow.

Powered grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Nice open space, close to the village and the Co-op for supplies. There were lots of flies and wasps which were a bit annoying and stopped us eating outside. However, we had booked an anniversary meal at The Old Bank on one night and the location was perfect. We also caught the bus to Castle Rising and it was on time (even on a Sunday!) and the drivers were really helpful. It was a pleasant stay overall, despite the inconvenience of not having a dedicated motorhome service point.
Disliked We didn't feel it was particularly suitable for motorhomes, as there was no motorhome service point, which meant carrying a heavy water receptacle some distance, a VERY long walk to the chemical toilet (outside the site and down the road, next to a different campsite) and no dedicated point to dispose of grey waste, so we had to dispense into buckets, carry across the field and pour down the dishwashing sink. If these issues could be improved upon, we would highly recommend this site.
