What customers say
This small, friendly site offers a peaceful stay by the water, perfect for exploring Cambridge and local sights. Pitches are well-spaced and flat. Facilities, though basic and in portacabins, are clean and functional, with upgrades planned by new owners. Easy access, nearby pubs and amenities. Occasional road noise.

Convenient for Cambridge, but not for the faint-hearted
Power optional grass and gravel campsite
Liked Budget site, tidily presented, with pleasing aspect across pond and stream, surrounded by grass and trees. Convenient location - 15 minute walk across fields and through village to Shepreth rail station for rapid train to Cambridge and all the delights there - it's what we came for. Also, it's a pleasantly small site, mostly out of earshot of the A10, and in winter with few others there, it wasn't crowded.
Disliked The toilet and shower blocks clean, but possibly least inviting of any we have used anywhere. Facilities need an upgrade. Electric shower produced a thin stream of mainly lukewarm water. Toilet cubicle is so small, it needs agility to enter the space and close the door. No legitimate place on site to dispose of grey water. Beware - at times it is challenging to exit onto A10 owing to volume of traffic. 16amp electricity supply, but regular trip-outs (we tour regularly and have not had this issue elsewhere).

Small family run site close to Cambridge
Power optional grass and gravel campsite
Liked Very friendly welcome from the owners who work hard to present the site. The pitches are all gravelled and well spaced. The shower and toilet facilities which are in porta cabins are kept very clean. Plenty of hot water. Good location only 6 miles from Cambridge Trumpington park and ride. Easy access off A10

Power optional grass and gravel campsite
Liked Handy to Cambridge. Nice flat site
Quite close to main road so some road noise.
Disliked Not a complaint but no card facilities so take cash or you’ll need to have a way to pay by bank deposit which isn’t always easy for foreigners

Adequate over night stop location
Power optional grass and gravel campsite
Liked Perfectly adequate overnight stop off. Convenient for Cambridge. Nothing to really dislike although it's all a bit tired and perhaps shabby. But everything works. Not the most picturesque, but reasonably quiet despite proximity to the A10. Pitch size compact TBH.
Disliked Price per night was high in my opinion for the quality of faciities and site aesthetics.

Power optional grass and gravel campsite
Liked Nice clean and secluded campsite which served us well for a quick stop over for the night. The staff were also very friendly. Not the biggest of hard standing pitches however the non hook up pitches were on the main field which was alot more spacious :)

Power optional grass and gravel campsite
Liked The location was ideal for the historical places I wished to visit. Great walk for the dog…directly across the road (public foot path). Then take a right & immediate left up past the church & onward…perfect.
Disliked Pitches far closer to one another than I expected but being out of season helped & managed to find a grassy patch with a little more room.
