  • Dog-friendly site with views of the Malvern Hills; pub 15 mins' walk
The wonderful Worcestershire countryside will be your surroundings if you stay at Herberts Field Certificated Location – with the added bonus of views towards the Malvern Hills National Landscape to make the location even prettier. You’ll be among a select few that get to enjoy it all as well, as this small site is reserved for Caravan and Motorhome Club members only – and it’s an adults-only setup too (although dogs are welcome). This is a site that’s been designed with touring guests in mind – and that pitches are spacious, with a hardstanding patch for your wheels and a grass area for your awning, outdoor chairs and the like. Each one has an electric hook-up available, and you’ll have access to shared facilities including a chemical disposal point, a water supply and a toilet block. What might you get up to while you’re here? Well, these scenic surroundings are fabulous for relaxed pursuits like hiking, cycling, horse riding, fishing and golf, and there’s a country pub about 15 minutes’ stroll away in the village of Welland. Upton Upon Severn (five minutes’ drive) and Great Malvern (10 minutes) are also close by for shops and places to eat – and you might like to find out what’s on at the Three Counties Showground (five minutes away).

What customers say

This peaceful, tidy campsite offers level, spacious sites and beautiful countryside views. Its excellent location is ideal for visiting Upton-upon-Severn and Malvern, with plenty of opportunities for cycling and dog walking. Facilities include clean, well-maintained restrooms, and metered electricity is available. Guests found the site easy to find and access, though one noted a very narrow section of road leading to it. Some visitors wished for shower facilities.

Liked Normally quiet location
Toilets, electric, water available on site

Disliked Sound of music until late at night (presumed from Eastnor Castle)

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Hello, many thanks for your great review, we hope you enjoyed your stay. As you said, we are usually a very quiet site and having looked at the dates of your stay, the loud music was most probably coming from Lakefest that was on that weekend at Eastnor.
Best wishes

Power optional grass and gravel travel trailer campsite (members only)

Liked Love The location been coming here for at leased 10 years perfect for us quiet and room for the dog to run while being supervised toilet clean easy access in and out and always had a nice welcome from previous owners this time had to have instructions over the phone and they were not familiar with which pitches were in use had to double up .

Disliked No one to greet us and allocate our pitch so there were vans on electric hook up that we’re not using it which left us without and given we booked at least 2months in advance could have been given a pitch number if it was difficult for someone to be there and meet us thought as the site had gone with pitch up maybe showers could be included but not a deal breaker.

Local attractions

The Malvern Hills National Landscape surely beckons for a walk, a bike ride or some other form of outdoor pursuit. There are lots of lovely places to explore here, with some favourites being Gullet Quarry (10 minutes’ drive), Worcestershire Beacon (15 minutes) and The Knapp And Papermill Nature Reserve (25 minutes). For more leisurely strolls, try out places like St Ann’s Well, or Eastnor Castle, with its extensive deer park. The historic buildings of Ledbury make the town another lovely place for a wander. All three are about 15 minutes’ drive away. For a taste of the area’s cultures, head to Upton upon Severn (five minutes), which hosts several music festivals throughout the year and is also home to the Tudor House Museum. Worcester (25 minutes) is another good shout, with the cathedral and the Museum of Royal Worcester to visit, as well as The Firs: Elgar’s Birthplace Museum, a National Trust site just outside the city.
