  • Dog-friendly site with views of the Malvern Hills; pub 15 mins' walk
The wonderful Worcestershire countryside will be your surroundings if you stay at Herberts Field Certificated Location – with the added bonus of views towards the Malvern Hills National Landscape to make the location even prettier. You’ll be among a select few that get to enjoy it all as well, as this small site is reserved for Caravan and Motorhome Club members only – and it’s an adults-only setup too (although dogs are welcome). This is a site that’s been designed with touring guests in mind – and that pitches are spacious, with a hardstanding patch for your wheels and a grass area for your awning, outdoor chairs and the like. Each one has an electric hook-up available, and you’ll have access to shared facilities including a chemical disposal point, a water supply and a toilet block. What might you get up to while you’re here? Well, these scenic surroundings are fabulous for relaxed pursuits like hiking, cycling, horse riding, fishing and golf, and there’s a country pub about 15 minutes’ stroll away in the village of Welland. Upton Upon Severn (five minutes’ drive) and Great Malvern (10 minutes) are also close by for shops and places to eat – and you might like to find out what’s on at the Three Counties Showground (five minutes away).

A neat, peaceful, large spot with flat pitches, perfect for Three Counties Showground & Malvern Hills. Clean loos and pay-as-you-go electric a hit. Occasional road noise and no showers were noted, but managers fixed booking chats. Many want to return.

Liked A fair site . Worth visiting again .

Disliked Pitch no 2 and 3 are too close . Electric point connection could be made easier .

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you so much for your review! We are so lucky to have such a large spacious site and our guests frequently comment on how nicely spaced the pitches are, so we were surprised to read that you thought pitches 2 and 3 were too close together!

Regards the electric hook up, if you let us know next time you have difficulties we would be happy to assist.

Hope you can visit again soon.

All the best,
Louise & David

Electric optional hardstanding and grass touring pitch (members only)

Liked Peaceful location, well spaced pitch, basic, clean facilities.

Disliked Nothing about the site, just other users not respecting the rules (or the beautiful birdsong) by playing music that could be heard half way across the field.
NOTE there are more than the advertised 5 pitches, there are some across the field on grass, this is where the music was being played.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you Claire for your review, we are pleased you found the site nicely spaced out and clean. We do have 10 hook ups to be able to give the option of either a grass pitch or hardstanding, however these are not all used at the same time.

Our site rules state that no music is allowed and I am sorry this was not adhered to by others at the time of your stay. We do not live on site but had we been made aware of this at the time we would have attended straight away to address your concerns.

We do hope you will visit again soon.

Best wishes,
Louise & David

From the manager: Thank you for leaving us a recent review following your stay with us. We were sorry to hear that you had difficulty finding us, but pleased we were able to guide you in without any issues when you called saying you were lost.

Electric optional hardstanding and grass touring pitch (members only)

Liked Very convenient for 3 Counties Show Ground, and the site and WC block etc was clean and tidy. The Inn at Welland PH is excellent only a few minutes by car. The view of the Malverns in the background is very scenic.

Disliked The entry gates and padlock quite fiddly and cumbersome to operate but is a very minor criticism. The gravel pitches were level and well prepared but a pity not spaced a little further apart given the overall space and size of the field.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Many thanks for your recent review, we are pleased you found the site clean and tidy. Spacing between pitches is well received by our guests but understand this may not be to everyone's satisfaction.

We have recently upgraded the entrance with new gates and a combination padlock but are sorry to hear you had some difficulty with this, we always encourage our guests to contact us on arrival with any issues and we would be there to assist.

Hope to see you again soon,

Louise & David

Pam M. 1 review

Electric optional hardstanding and grass touring pitch (members only)

Liked We've been coming here for years and always have the best time. Our most recent stay didn't start off smoothly as we broke down on the M5/M50. Trauma with recovery made a bad situation worse. We had 3 dogs too so our stress levels were high. I called David just to let him know we would be late and explained our predicament. I didn't have to ask for help, it was offered unconditionally. David came and collected us, our dogs and caravan and delivered us to our pitch. I can't tell you how relieved we were. Further offers were made to give us options depending when our car could be fixed. We had to extend our stay which was no hardship to us as I can think of worse places to be held over.

Herberts Field is well serviced with options of hardstanding or grass. It's clean and tidy and so relaxed. Walks from the site are wonderful for people and the dogs. Close proximity to Three Counties Showground and Great Malvern, and a lovely hour's walk to the lovely village of Hanley Swan where there is a super pub serving grwat Food and also a village shop. We wouldn't keep coming back if we didn't love it.

We fully enjoyed our trip and despite the events at the start, we were able to fully relax and get the most out of our stay with our three boys.

Disliked Nothing

I am so pleased that David was able to come to your aid so swiftly and your stay with us ended up an enjoyable one! We look forward to seeing you all again next time!

The Malvern Hills National Landscape surely beckons for a walk, a bike ride or some other form of outdoor pursuit. There are lots of lovely places to explore here, with some favourites being Gullet Quarry (10 minutes’ drive), Worcestershire Beacon (15 minutes) and The Knapp And Papermill Nature Reserve (25 minutes). For more leisurely strolls, try out places like St Ann’s Well, or Eastnor Castle, with its extensive deer park. The historic buildings of Ledbury make the town another lovely place for a wander. All three are about 15 minutes’ drive away. For a taste of the area’s cultures, head to Upton upon Severn (five minutes), which hosts several music festivals throughout the year and is also home to the Tudor House Museum. Worcester (25 minutes) is another good shout, with the cathedral and the Museum of Royal Worcester to visit, as well as The Firs: Elgar’s Birthplace Museum, a National Trust site just outside the city.
