  • Peaceful farm campsite with spectacular Malvern Hills views
  • Great Malvern and Upton upon Severn 10 minutes' drive
  • Within walking distance of events at the Three Counties Showground
Set within sight of the spectacular Malvern Hills, this quiet farm spot is an excellent place to pitch up in rural Worcestershire. Brickbarns Farm Campsite is located on the eastern side of the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, within a 10-minute drive of pretty towns like Great Malvern and Upton upon Severn. The surrounding area is very green and peaceful, with plenty of local public rights of way within easy reach as well as more adventurous cycle routes and long-distance trails. Families are invited to come and enjoy the spacious green pitches on offer here, and they’re welcome to light up a barbecue or campfire (within the designated areas) throughout their time here. Dogs on leads are allowed, and you certainly won't be short of places to keep them exercised in the surrounding area. Brickbarns Farm Campsite is just to the east of Malvern Wells. For supermarkets, independent shops, pubs and a leisure centre, point yourself in the direction of Great Malvern (10 minutes), a larger town just to the north. Please note that Brickbarns Farm Campsite does not have toilet or shower facilities.

Local attractions

Fancy staying local? Catch an event at the Three Counties Showground (directly opposite the site; a few minutes' walk), where antique shows, vintage car and motorbike rallies, horticultural events, collectors' fairs and live concerts are the order of the day (check the showground's website in advance to see what's on during your stay). For a fun day out with the kids, take them to pick their own fresh berries at Clive's Fruit Farm (10 minutes' drive), a friendly farm shop just outside Upton upon Severn. After a filling a punnet or two of natural goodies, wander through the streets of Upton (10 minutes), where handsome 17th-century buildings, riverside pubs and an attractive medieval church (affectionately known as the Pepperpot) make a most pleasing mix indeed. Similar laidback vibes can be found at other spots along the local area's rivers, including Tewkesbury (20 minutes) – home to an abbey, island pub and theatre – and Tenbury Wells (45 minutes), a well-preserved market town in an area known for its fine ales and ciders.

Liked: Second visit in same month. Highly recommend site. Very quiet and peaceful. Watched the gliders jump off Malvern hills and easy walking to Three Counties Showground.
Just water supplied just perfect for what we want. We hopefully will be returning very soon.
Even got Uber delivery to field 😀

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked: Close to the 3-Counties showground (10 mins walk) but quiet and out of view of the road or showground. Nestled among farmland with the Malvern hills in the background. We really enjoyed our weekend stay, going to the showground one day and walking straight from the campsite the next day making the most of the footpaths and nearby woodland park.
We enjoy wild camping so managed well enough without any facilities but apparently a toilet/shower block is going to be installed. We were well away from other campers and had a comfortable level pitch.

Disliked: no water supply yet (we knew this in advance and took our own)

Primitive grass travel trailer campsite

Liked: Open field, plenty of space.
Can have campfires, although not advisable in the hot dry weather this month.

Disliked: No toilets, would have been good to have a compost loo, or even a portaloo. Priced the same as sites that do have loos.

Liked: Few other campers, wide open field with pleasant views, flat ground

Disliked: No tap (this may have been due to arriving late and not being shown)

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked: The space. Views of the Malvern Hills.
The amount of wildlife was amazing, we even saw a barn owl.
Apart from one other camper we had the place to ourselves.
Water tap on site.
No light pollution at night so the night sky was amazing.
We were going to Upton Blues Festival on the Sunday and it was just a short drive away. Local town had some good shops and supermarkets.
No rush to leave on day of departure which is always a good thing.

Disliked: When we arrived we noticed the dirt road at the bottom of the field was quite busy but that was due to a wedding party in the next field. Although we could hear some music from there it never really bothered us and by 11pm the music was turned off. Shame about some idiots driving a bit too fast down the lane that caused a lot of dust, so don't camp near that lane.
The grass was a little long, so watch out for the thistle patches when you do choose your space.. The further we went into the field the less thistles.
