If this sounds like the kind of thing dreams are made of, take a look at Stratford Parks Holiday Park, a peaceful and plant-filled site on the River Avon in the Warwickshire countryside. The park's Riverside Venue Bar and Restaurant has a delicious variety of food and drink, as well as events throughout the high season and on some weekends. There's a multi-sports pitch on site for family games and over a mile and half of free river fishing for those who want to spend a peaceful afternoon on the river banks. A daily river taxi service also runs from Stratford Parks Holiday Park to Stratford-upon-Avon, where there are Shakespeare attractions and lots of places to eat or shop. Arriving with a furry companion? There are also designated dog-walking areas on site.

Liked Spacious pitches, friendly staff that show you to your pitch. Also a great restaurant and bar on site. Good location only 30 mins walk into Stratford

Liked Liked the bar,food & entertainment.Location was excellent for access to town centre loved boat trip from park to centre.

Disliked Toilets & showers are below par,need money spending on them to up date them.

Liked Lovely quiet location, on arrival we were told we could have a riverside pitch overlooking the river which was superb. The toilet block was clean if dated. We walked into Stratford upon Avon and caught the river taxi back which was very pleasant.

Liked The distance to the town and the water taxi service.

Disliked It toilets and service facilities are very old. The touring pitches are disorganized and not properly maintained.
We got the feeling that it is a matter of time before the touring pitches are replaced by holiday homes.

Liked The fact that you put us next to our relatives on the river front pitch even though we had booked a riverside pitch. We thought that was very kind and thoughtful River front touring pitches were lovely and we had our family lunch under the weeping willow tree
Location was perfect especially considering the River taxi to Stratford
Toilets and showers were very good

Disliked No water tap near to pitch
Distance to toilet block
Entertainment was a bit loud
The ‘car park’ nature of the rest of the site.
We are used to French campsites that have hedges/bushes in between the pitches

Liked Facilities were clean and showers were lovely and hot
Restaurants and bars on site
River boat taxi was a lovely trip in to Stratford

Disliked The pitch was on the corner, so there was a lot of traffic racing up and down, this area was very noisy from visitors to the site and not the campers that had paid to stay.
Paid for internet access and the service was appalling, it was more off than on.

Liked We Stayed At Riverside Holiday Park At Stratford On Avon. In Our Motorhome. It Was Excellent. The Steward Was Really Friendly And Showed Us To Our Pitch The Toilets And Showers We Kept Very Clean. The Bar And Restuarant Have very Good Views And Were Excellent. We Would Recomend ThIs To Any Touring Caravaners And Motorhomes And Statics Well Done Stratford Holiday Parks. [Riverside Holiday Park .You Were Brilliant.

Local attractions

For a change from the river taxi, guests can stroll into Stratford-upon-Avon to take in a play from the Royal Shakespeare Company, have a flutter at the races, or visit the many Shakespeare sights dotted around the city. There’s also excellent retail therapy to be had here, as well as in the elegant surrounding towns of Cheltenham, Royal Leamington Spa and Warwick. 
Sporty types will find golf courses, swimming pools and many other facilities nearby, and of course there are plenty of good walking opportunities along the river and out into the lovely Warwickshire countryside. Further along the banks of the Avon are the stately country house of Charlecote Park, and winsome Warwick Castle, which has plenty of things to do and see for all ages. Also nearby are the majestic ruins of Kenilworth Castle, where Robert Dudley and Elizabeth I used to make out; or you could follow in the footsteps of the Gunpowder Plotters of 1605 with a visit to Coughton Court. At the Ragley Hall Estate, visitors can take a tour of the Palladian mansion, go sculpture spotting in the Capability Brown parkland, or lose themselves in the 3D maze. The site is also a great base from which to explore the villages and landscapes of the Cotswolds.
