What customers say
This well-kept campground offers a peaceful setting by a marina and canal, conveniently located for exploring Lichfield and local attractions. Guests frequently praised the friendly, helpful staff, clean facilities (especially showers), and spacious, level sites. A highly-rated canal-side pub was also a big plus. Minor downsides included dated shower facilities, occasional road/train noise, and a key deposit. Some suggested improvements to pitch drainage and bin management.

The view in the morning…
Primitive gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked The view in the morning
Disliked Was given a time window was called 30mins before to ask where we were
Was given instructions on an intercom and told pitch 2 unaware there was 2 pitch 2s so set up on wrong site was called by a very rude man telling us to move and we packed stuff and moved to find the 5 new pitch’s they were all full to be told there not and that he would have to come back to sort another get turned up and said that the white van was in wrong place because a pickup parked on there bay it left while we was waiting and we was told to go there even though they had left stuff on the plot they arrived back at 2 am and retrieved there belonging and disturbed us
Also no information on where to find the facilities and also pitch black so didn’t go hunting luckily had our own toilet with us
So all in all not a very good experience
Maybe would be a good idea to give all plots a number

Nice peaceful, clean site adjacent to canal boat marina.
FHU gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked Location - part of a canal narrow boat marina complex. Peaceful rural setting,
with tow path walks and nearby public house (note occasional distant background railway sounds).
Facilities - generally good and clean.
Security - 24/7 locked access.
Pub - the popular Plough Inn, Huddleston is approx 1 mile along towpath.
There are 2 motor home areas the CAMC CL site is closest to the canal (and railway line) and are grass pitches.
We would happily return to this site again.
Disliked Following minor but listed for full disclosure:
Toilet/shower blocks - split locations and no vacant/occupied signage to display availability.
Washing up area - not close to touring pitch area and is next to CAMC CL pitches.
