General

  • Simple and family-owned rural site within an equestrian centre
  • Covering 80 acres, within eight miles of Alton Towers
  • On the edge of the Peak District National Park and near Manifold Trail

You'll probably be busy at Beaver Hall Equestrian Centre near Staffordshire's Leek. This small, secluded family-run site is deep in the Staffordshire moorlands, near Alton Towers and on the edge of the Peak District National Park with piles of attractions and activities for all ages nearby.

This is something of a haven for folk seeking rural time, walks and bike rides: footpaths crisscross the 80 acres of Beaver Hall and the Churnet Valley railway line lies to the west for steam and diesel trainspotting.

Beautiful views, friendly owners and always special to be surrounded by horses and watching the events.

    Disliked:

All dislikes are not due to the owners fault. Due to covid facilities were closed, which was understandable. Also unexpectedly the weather was atrocious.. Again this was not the owners fault at all but definitely put a big dampener (pun intended) on the holiday.

From the manager...

It was a great shame about the weather after such a lovely summer !

    Disliked:

Due to covid 19 no facilities were open which wasn't there fault but there was no reduction in site fees.I also paid for an hard standing pitch which was fully over grown.

From the manager...

Pitches were £25 previously ! We would prefer to discuss any problems face to face, pitches are not overgrown as moved every few days ! Sorry you had such awful weather during your visit.

Very little. This is a site way passed its glory days depicted in photos. Yes, it has facilities but it is obvious that this is an add on to the equestrian site, that other than cutting the grass is left to its own devices! That's not an issue, if you price accordingly!

    Disliked:

    As above.

From the manager...

Thank you for your cutting remarks , its unfortunate the weather was terrible during your stay & that £20 was far too expensive for your budget.
As explained before your short visit that we were offering no facilities as shielding our father who is terminally ill. Enjoy your day !

The 5 pitches are in a designated field with their own hardstanding , HU & water & we do recommend visitors to bring levellers.
