  • Luxury wooden camping pods in the Shropshire Hills
  • On the edge of Habberley; Shrewsbury 25 minutes’ drive
  • Rural glamping with electricity, heating, beds and an electric grill
Eastridge Glamping is located on a working farm on the northern edge of the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The site backs onto the well-known Eastridge woodlands, a hilltop location where there are stunning views over the surrounding countryside and some top mountain bike trails. These high-spec pods are well-equipped with electricity, heating, a kettle and an electric barbecue grill. Each pod has two stackable single beds that can be joined together to form a double, and there's also plenty of space for extra airbeds or roll-out mattresses. Well-maintained shared toilets and showers are a short walk away from the accommodation. This site is an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area and has an abundance of footpaths, bridleways and local trails. The pods are in a quiet location on the edge of the small village of Habberley and are five minutes' walk from the nearest pub. The nearby village of Pontesbury (five minutes' drive) is close by too and has a wide range of amenities including a local baker, a butcher's, a supermarket and restaurants. Well-behaved dogs (on leads) are welcome at Eastridge Glamping.

Local attractions

New to the Shropshire Hills? Leave the car at home and make the most of the scenery with the Shropshire Hills' high-season shuttle buses (five minutes' walk to the nearest stop; July to early September), allowing you to get out to beauty spots like the Stiperstones, Church Stretton and Carding Mill Valley in the Long Mynd (all can also be driven to within roughly half an hour). Shrewsbury (25 minutes) is also worth visiting for its museums like Coleham Pumping Station and the Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery – if you find yourself interested by the town's ancient past while perusing the latter, you might like to follow up with a visit to the well-presented ruins at Wroxeter Roman City (30 minutes) just down the road. Other high-rated historic days out are to be had at Ironbridge (45 minutes), a UNESCO World Heritage Site with industrial structures galore, while for something a bit older there's also Ludlow Castle (50 minutes) or the well-preserved buildings around Hay-on-Wye (55 minutes), a market town on the border between England and Wales.
