  • Quiet holiday park beneath Wenlock Edge in Shropshire countryside
  • Museum of The Gorge 20 minutes’ drive; Shrewsbury Abbey 25 minutes
  • Dog walks and fishing ponds on site; pubs 10 minutes’ drive
Tucked beneath the Wenlock Edge escarpment in stunning Shropshire countryside, Mill Farm Holiday Park is a farm site with a peaceful location in mature parkland. It’s surrounded by open farmland where you can (hopefully) spot an abundance of wildlife, and 20 minutes’ drive from the plethora of displays and attractions at the award-winning Museum of The Gorge. This peaceful family-run spot has touring pitches with a shower block, plus a recreation room and ping-pong tables to keep everyone on their toes. The pitches have direct access to lots of paths for dog walks, and the site also makes a handy base for more ambitious walkers (the Jack Mytton Way and Shropshire Way both pass within about 10 minutes’ walk), along with cyclists and birdwatchers. There are well-stocked carp ponds on site for guests who fancy fishing, and if you're not an angler you can feed the fish instead for a nice gentle outdoor activity. There are pubs in the pretty village of Much Wenlock (10 minutes’ drive); should you need a supermarket for snacks and meal supplies, Shrewsbury (25 minutes) has you covered.

What customers say

Mill Farm is a peaceful, well-kept site with friendly owners, good value, and clean facilities. Spacious pitches, some with water. Showers extra, but warm. Toilet block dated for some, but clean. Wi-Fi/cell signal spotty. Recommended for a quiet getaway.

FHU cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked Loved the peacefulness of this campsite. Facilities were clean and spacious. Showers were great value at £1.50 for eight minutes. Lovely site to walk around with a lake where we saw little ducklings. Pitch size was spacious. Would stay here again if in the area.

FHU cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked It’s a lovely quiet site with all the facilities you require. The staff go above and beyond and it’s a great little family run site. The site is clean and tidy, shower is really good and a token lasts about 8 min so plenty of time. You must visit the lake and experience the feeding frenzy of the fish but don’t forget the bread.

Will definitely be booking again in the future.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked We really enjoyed our stay at Mill Farm. The lady who runs it was extremely helpful. We hadn’t brought our own wood for a fire pit and she went out of her way to go and get some for us and then delivered them to our camper. The pitch was a good size and the grounds were lovely to walk around. The toilets and showers aren’t new but they go with the farm vibe which we both appreciated. The showers were nice and warm and cost £1.50 for 8 minutes and you purchase the tokens from reception. It cost us £50 for two nights which I think is an absolute bargain

Primitive grass campsite

Liked Everything.
There was loads of room around when we went. There was only us and one other pitch in the field we were in.
Toilets were clean.
Both me and my partner had plenty of signal/wifi; and the owner mentioned that you could use wifi by reception to use maps if needed.
Everything was great from start to finish; great from start to finish, would definitely recommend.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked Quiet, peaceful and clean site. Having own water tap on pitch was good as saves fetching from too far. Toilet block is a bit old fashioned but clean and well lit. Everyone was friendly. Only stayed for 2 nights but was great recharge

Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked Lovely welcoming staff, great riverside location (but no mobile phone service), good pitches on well maintained grounds.

Disliked Paying extra for the shower which only has 2 small hooks making it impossible to stow clothes/towels/washbag or leave shampoo
Toilet block clean, but a little tired, with over-sink mirrors only suitable for those taller than 2m/6'
Although several campsite WiFi access points appeared in the list they disconnected immediately so as almost no 4G signal our communications were severely hampered.
Weirdly TV didn't get a signal at night but it did in the morning.

Liked The service was excellent. The surrounding area was beautiful. Appears mostly older or retired people on the site so pretty quiet. We enjoyed it a lot and we're made to feel very welcome.
