What customers say
This adults-only site's praised for its serene lake setting, great walks, and wildlife. Guests love the spacious sites, clean facilities, and awesome communal area. Owners Dave and Ingrid are super friendly and helpful – lots of return visitors! A few note spotty Wi-Fi, narrow roads, and some sloped pitches.

Lovely campsite, managed with care in a peaceful location
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Pretty much everything! Loads of space (though in heat wave not too easy to find flat-ish, non electric pitch with any shade), great facilities (including shared fridges, kettle, dining area), pretty location by the mere and canal with walking options

Really nice site, pitches need to be levelled.
Powered grass campervan campsite
Liked Lovely setting and views, good location. Lots of walking trails and plenty of nature to see, in and around the campsite. Nice communal area with sofas and TV.
Disliked Pitches aren't very well kept, or flat! Several tough roots coming through, which pierced our groundsheet and lots of small stones around, which we had to clear before we could set up.Wouldn't need too much work to clear and level the designated areas properly, for a perfect pitch.
Information given on arrival was mostly about the walks around the campsite, virtually no information given about the campsite itself or its amenities.
Hot tub hire was available at a cost of £50/session! -which is quite extortionate.
There was a petrol/diesel generator switched on each day from quite early to around 6PM which was quite audible and annoying from our pitch, although appreciate that pitches further away probably couldn't hear it.
Showers and toilets very clean, however a single towel provided in each toilet block for everyone to use is not the most hygienic way to dry hands these days! (even though they were changed daily.)
Wifi very temperamental.
The campsite is adults only, so no loud/screaming kids which is great (we've done our time with family campsites and now deserve quieter adult time!😀) However, dogs are allowed (which is also great) but unfortunately there were a couple of really 'yappy' dogs when we stayed and their owners didn't seem too bothered if the other camper's peace and quiet was spoilt by their lack of control/care of their animals.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Very peaceful park. Pitches well spaced out. Beautiful natural environment. Butterflies everywhere. From the fabulous lily pond on site to the Mere just a few minutes walk away the whole stay was perfect for me. Facilities were great. Including a social space for guests to use. Kitted out with a kitchen. Fridge freezers. Microwave, kettle etc. A sofa and tables and seating to eat your meals there if you wish. The owners very nice and really helpful. All together a very enjoyable stay.

Excellent well run friendly picturesque site
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Beautiful site. Superbly run by the friendly and helpful Dave and Ingrid. The unique summerhouse/ hub with TV music if u like, cooking facilities etc is an excellent addition that sets this site above others. Canal walk into Ellesmere or a stroll around the mere are lovely. Definitely one of our favourite sites.
Disliked Nothing to dislike.
