What customers say
This campsite offers a peaceful escape with stunning 360-degree views of the Shropshire Hills. Visitors praise the friendly and helpful owners, plentiful space, and back-to-basics approach, often described as "wild camping." Facilities are generally clean and adequate, including hot showers and compost toilets, though some note their basic nature and distance from pitches. While most enjoy the tranquility, a few mention potential traffic noise. Access can be challenging in wet weather.

Trouble free quiet site
Primitive grass campervan campsite
Liked So much space . No noise . Lovely views
Disliked Suppose the smell from the toilets
But I knew they were compost toilets so can really be helped

Beautiful location, friendly staff, spotless facilities.
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Incredible views, basic but clean and functional facilities, relaxed and friendly. Good local pub only 5 mins walk, and local bus to the lovely Church Stretton only takes 10-15 mins. Great walks in the Shropshire Hills straight off the site. Cute goats to pet too!

Liked Beautiful views, very relaxed, hot free shower, cute goats, great walks
Disliked Only one shower, a bit of a walk away, closest pub was a bit meh, compost loos were smelly

This huge site wouldn’t appeal to everyone but for us it was perfect.
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked This was an amazing site with extremely pleasant and helpful owners. Very large space so plenty of room for peace and quiet. It wouldn’t suit everyone as it is close to wild camping and facilities are far from luxurious but kept clean and tidy. Lots of walking nearby as well as pubs and other facilities. Loved it.
We will be back

Beautifully situated site surrounded by nature and 360 views.
Primitive grass campervan campsite
Liked There were wonderful 360 degree views! Plus… short walk to a really nice pub/restaurant (and you can order in advance to collect steaks to cook back at the site - which was delicious!), super walking from the site, drive to many attractions in the area, very friendly owners and much much space to roam and pitch. Very dog friendly. I was self contained so didn’t use the shower, which was a little way from the main pitching area, but used the composting toilets which I found to be clean and well stocked with loo roll. I would recommend this site if you like basic but adequate and clean facilities but place greater importance on a site surrounded by natural beauty and peace - but hurry before it gets too popular as the space was one of its big pluses for me!!

Overall we had a lovely stay at the site
Bell tent
Liked We stayed in the bell tent for a long weekend, the bell tent was perfect it was a good size and clean. It had everything you could need, beds were comfy and quilts were warm. Nice table area of which we sat and played games at night. The bell tent is at the top of the second field , it is very private and has beautiful scenic views. A large fit pit was also in situ and was good to sit round at night. The toilets
and shower were a good walk away so it was a bit far in the middle of the night to walk when you needed the toilet which wasn’t ideal but this was stated in the site details so we did know to expect this prior to our visit. Toilets were clean and always had toilet paper, only our personal preference we would have preferred working toilets but understand the site is aimed to be more eco friendly. Overall we had a lovely stay at the site and can see that it is perfect for people who would like to get back to nature.
Disliked No hot water at the sinks ment we had to boil the kettle each time to wash up cooking utensils.

Wilder camping with facilities
Primitive grass campervan campsite
Liked The site was beautiful, the views were amazing! Red kites flew over the site each day. The welcoming to the site of the most friendliest geese, ducks and cat was so lovely!
The site has two fields to choose from, there are two compost loos and a shower. The shower is great!
Church Stretton is a few minutes drive away.
A very chilled and relaxed stay ... if you enjoy the more wilder side of camping this is perfect!
