Primitive grass campsite
Liked: Small, secluded quiet campsite, that felt safe - especially as it is lined with a tall hedgerow. The glamping yurts looked incredible!! Communal campsite fire pit - although no one used it during our stay. Pub a 2 minute drive down the road is incredible.
Disliked: No essentials shop - there is a farm shop on site, but seemed more like a tourist giftshop than farm shop.
Had to visit the farm shop on arrival as there are signposts to "reception" but there is no campsite reception. As booked on pitchup, didn't receive "check in" information from campsite before hand (this was indicated by the lady in the farmshop), so didn't know to call on arrival - and had to go hunting for contact info!! Once I did phone to check in, was told she would be there soon but never saw her!

Liked: Small quiet campsite, fantastic powerful hot showers, not a queue, provided hand towels and washing up liquid etc
Disliked: There isn’t a shop for essentials -e.g. toiletries. In which case complimentary feminine hygiene products in the loos or honesty box for eggs and bread would have been really appreciated. Electric just added so bit muddy where the cables have been added.

Liked: Small site behind farm. Very basic - field with 3/4 yurts and 3/4 camper van pitches with electricity. Water available a short walk away along with basic toilet and shower facilities. No frills at all but our last stop before home so it didn't bother us at all. Very nice and quiet. Lovely friendly host .
Disliked: Basic toilet and shower facilities which were all unisex. Two toilets one of which didn't lock properly. Two showers round the other side which were both in one room, just a shower curtain separating you from anyone else coming to use the other shower. All very clean though.

Could be perfect peaceful site with no traffic noise, if Yurts moved.

Primitive grass campsite
Liked: The field is excellent, hedges providing shelter from wind, good views and flat pitches. The facilities are clean and showers worked well. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Delightful site and would have been perfect for our needs.
Unfortunately, the Yurts had been rented to a large group of Dad’s with kids. The kids were not a problem. The Dad’s however were up very late drinking and getting louder and louder as they shouted across the fire pit. This may have been just bad luck for us, but fire pit set-up encourages large groups and distance across encourages shouting rather than normal talking volumes.
Would be perfect if Yurts were relocated to another field on farm. This could be a really peaceful site, with no traffic noise.
Disliked: Yurt fire pit set-up encouraging large groups and shouting rather than normal talking volumes.

Liked: The tent was a great size and beds really comfortable. The owner was super helpful and friendly. The campsite was relaxed and not over crowded. Fire pits provided per tent. Lovely little touches in the tent such as sun flowers and lamps. Toilets and showers were beautifully clean. A really enjoyable stay.
