What customers say
Peaceful rural site with spacious pitches & woodland walks. Great for dog owners! Owner Dan is a gem. Basic, mostly clean facilities, though some need updating. Bumpy access road. Excellent value, many would return.

Liked From the minute we arrived we were greeted by Dan, super friendly & helpful!
The kids loved playing in the fields and the surrounding forest. The shower & toilet block was basic but clean and tidy. We would definitely book again. Well worth the price!

Powered grass travel trailer campsite
Liked There are woodland areas to walk dogs and also a safe fenced area that you can let your dog of the lead. The owner was very welcoming and the village has a couple of shops of a pub, not walking distance but a short drive.
Disliked The ground was a very sandy texture. When driving it kicked up a lot of dust. This could be due to the dry season we have had.

From the manager: Thanks for the great review.
Yes we are sandy but when it's wet the water drains away fast. We have never been flooded!
Nice place overall, and at a reasonable price.

Liked Nice, flat pitch with good ground for pitching a tent. Owner (Dan) was really friendly and helpful. Great surrounding and a nice walk through the surrounding woodland.
Disliked Toilet and washing facilities could do with a deep clean and a bit of updating. Everything worked OK, and I have seen far worse, but the cobwebs around the windows and shower cubicles could do with sorting out.

From the manager: On it!!
It was OK, not great, suited to those with on board facilities
Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Friendly owner (we only saw them when new people arrived) and plenty of space as not busy. The road up wasn't as bumpy as expected from other reviews.
Disliked Everything just felt a bit run down.
The toilet units themselves were very dirty, caked in dust and cobwebs. The toilet and sinks were clean though. I did see a staff member mopping at one point but it was just a thin strip between the door, cubicles and sinks but not under the sinks, along the wall etc.
The single sink in an old lean to, for dish washing, was adequate for when there was only 3 families but if it was at a busier time it wouldn't have been enough.
The walls between each toilet, and more importantly the shower, were very low, I'm 6ft and could see straight over. This made for many an awkward visit if someone else was using the facilities. It felt expensive for what there was.
Most evenings, around 9/10pm for 30mins, there was a lot of very loud barking from a group of dogs nearby. Probably farm dogs getting fed but it was a bit annoying as it woke our child up every time.
