What customers say

Highly recommended, peaceful site behind a welcoming pub with great food. Immaculately clean, modern facilities. Level grass pitches with lovely views, some with EHU. Friendly staff. Minor points: shower heat, gravel, occasional road noise. Miles from towns.

Liked Excellent facilities. Facility block had two separate areas on the left and right with shower, toilet and sink in each and a handy area where you could dry your hair. They even have a baby bath and changing mat if you need it. Area for washing up, fresh water tap, bins and elsan with hose. Electric hook up. Lovely outlook over the fields looking away from the pub. Quaint pub with dogs allowed in bar area. Friendly staff.

Disliked Food was very good however OH was not keen on fish with skin on. Everything else was spot on.

Liked Absolutely great site , £28 per night with ehu , lovely toilets and hot showers , new and modern, the George and dragon pub was great on site and the food was top notch, just ourselves all day and night Saturday, stopped Sunday for lunch, the owner said we could spend the day hooked up and use the facilities at no extra cost as they closed Monday. wouldn’t hesitate coming back , loved every minute.

Disliked Would of been nice to receive discount, when eating in the pub onsite

Liked We liked the lovely village pub. Had a delicious evening meal there. A good campsite with facilities. A convenient site to go walking in the Lincolnshire Wolds. Snipe Dales is not too far away.

Liked Absolutely fantastic small site, really helpful staff too!
Pub food was great and well priced.
Showers and toilets spotless and well appointed.
Elsan point was good too, even had a hose!
Bus stop right outside pub (to Skegness)

Disliked Only one small niggle, the gravel around the shower block, that could do with a few slabs being laid to it from the grass pitch area.

Local attractions

The nature reserve at Snipe Dales (five minutes’ drive) is criss-crossed by woodland walks, wildflower meadows and streams. Walkers might spot wild orchids, colourful butterflies, woodpeckers and birds of prey here (especially around the Oak Wood area). Wander through the elegant rooms of early 18th-century Gunby Estate, Hall and Gardens – from the Library, with a blue-tiled fireplace, to the wood-panelled Music Room (complete with a grand piano), stopping by the Backstairs staircase to admire the delicate William Morris wallpaper. In addition to a Victorian walled garden, there is also a vast area of grounds with walking trails. With a wide sandy beach and a pier lined with arcades and food stalls, Skegness is a popular destination. Check out the rides at Skegness Pleasure Beach, or visit Natureland Seal Sanctuary, which rehabilitates orphaned seals, as well as being home to penguins, alpacas and meerkats.
