Overlooking the lake

  • Peaceful and family-run in 14 acres of scenic Lincolnshire countryside
  • Immaculately-maintained grounds, 10 minutes' drive from Skegness
  • Two fishing lakes, play area and shop with groceries and fishing kit
Serious seekers of serenity, get sorted at Sycamore Farm Park. This is a properly peaceful place, deep in the lovely Lincolnshire countryside (but only 10 minutes' drive from Skegness for those who also seek seaside). Even looking at the site pics should make you feel rightly relaxed… Sycamore Farm is on 14 acres of grounds all immaculately maintained by the professional team, and has two sincerely scenic fishing lakes, brimming with carp, roach, rudd and tench for you to try your hand landing. The essentials are covered at the (also immaculate) amenities: a toilet and shower block close to the pitching field with floor to ceiling tiles and underfloor heating; disabled facilities, washing-up area, drying room and launderette (there's a play area for kids while you're busy with the chores). The shop on site has a whopping range of fishing kit and dynamite baits, as well as groceries, cleaning products and household essentials. Need some help while on your hol? Ask the on-site maintenance team or any other member of staff: the Sycamore Farm Park team members make it their mission to make sure that guests feel welcome and have a resolutely relaxing time – that should sound seriously serene to you as well…

FHU gravel travel trailer campsite

Liked Really lovely site, very peaceful, very clean and quiet, great fishing as well. All pitches are full service pitches, this makes life a lot easier when not having to fill the water and empty the waste. The showers and toilets are very clean and even have a hairdryer with no charge. There is a small shop on site which was vey handy and the staff are great. There is a very small play park for visiting children. Overall just what we like and we will be booking this site again very soon.

Disliked Nothing to dislike, we had the best time.

I may try again sometime but won’t rush back because of the above

FHU gravel travel trailer campsite

Liked Clean and tidy pitches, good services although the usual tap leaking all over, which is absolutely normal these days, great site great fishing, great friendly staff

Disliked Dogs barking every day of our 3 day trip from static caravans over the departing edge, dogs fouling around top fishing pond, told the dog owner but did nothing about picking it up, dog chased my grandson barking and looked as if it could have got worse at one point until we chased it away, dog owner was there with 2 dogs but had no control, seasonal pitches on tourer site had kids running wild and wetting everyone and everything with water pistols.

Would go again

Powered grass campsite

Liked Beautiful site, well run. Fishing was excellent. Pitch was level and ehu no problem. All services too hand. Laundry available but didn't use. Washing up facility was clean and water hot. Staff very friendly. Shop with limited emergency supplies/tackle.There was a 20% on the site fees so very reasonable.

Disliked Location is a bit remote, you need to motor out. Roads around are very narrow for walking or biking. Showers in the male facilities were difficult to get to temperature without getting a blast of cold water on you

peaceful site just need to sort shower so don’t soak your clothes

FHU gravel and cement/asphalt RV campsite

Liked Very clean and tidy site and very peaceful nice level pitches and just far enough away from Skegness madness. hard standing pitch we had was near the barrier but did not disturb are stay in anyway small shop with basic things stocked

Disliked Shower did not have a curtain which was a pain as when turned shower on water squirted every where and soaked everything in cubical including my dry clothes that was hanging on back of door next day I had my dry robe over my stuff to keep it dry.
WiFi signal is rubbish and really not the best signal On my phone was hit and miss (more miss if I’m honest)

Very well maintained friendly faces all around

Local attractions

This is a lovely part of green and pleasant England, with splendid strolls and hikes in the surrounding countryside, and many more along the gorgeous Lincolnshire coastline a few miles away. The sand dunes and salt marsh of the Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve are 20 minutes' drive from Sycamore Farm Park, from the south of Skegness to the mouth of The Wash. This is a first-rate reserve for birdwatching and wildlife walks; look out for terns, plovers and oystercatchers along its trails and in the bird observatory. Sycamore Farm Park is also 10 minutes rom Lincolnshire's main seaside towns of Skegness and Ingoldmells, both with plenty to do after a morning spent strolling on the sands. At Skegness, sightseers and activity seekers can see the seals and other inhabitants at Natureland Seal Sanctuary, bob about on the boating lake, whirl around Skegness Pleasure Beach or just wander around town to source some souvenirs. The Embassy Theatre on Grand Parade puts on regular shows, concerts, pantos and comedy nights alongside one-off events like circus workshops and roller disco. At Ingoldmells, make theme park Fantasy Island your first stop for a right hair-raising time – stagger off to the huge indoor market afterwards to calm down, or have a tipple at one of the town's many pubs.
