  • Dog-friendly rural touring site 20 minutes’ walk from a sandy beach
  • On the edge of Sutton on Sea; 10 minutes’ drive from Mablethorpe
  • On-site tea rooms and a lake with a fountain
Searching for somewhere to park your tourer that’s both rural and a short walk away from the beach? This could be the place – surrounded by the east Lincolnshire countryside, Poplar Farm Leisure Park is only 20 minutes’ walk away from a stunning golden stretch of sand – and, being handily placed on the edge of Sutton on Sea, it's within a short drive of plenty more beaches. More about that location: the grass touring pitches are half an hour’s walk from the centre of Sutton on Sea, which has a convenience store and fish and chip shop. If you’d rather not walk, catch a bus from the stop 10 minutes’ walk away – services run from here to Sutton on Sea and along to Mablethorpe. The National Trust’s Sandilands nature reserve is also 25 minutes’ walk away from the site, so there are plenty of options for car-free travels. Before you think about setting off for the beach, shops or nature reserve, you might want to put aside some time to grab some freshly ground coffee at The Barn tea rooms on site (and don’t be shy about asking for a treat for your canine companion if you’re visiting with one). The owners highly recommend getting back from your adventures in time for sunset, too, as the colourful skies can be scenic indeed around here. A lake with a fountain is at the centre of the site, making it a particularly attractive area to sit and relax.

Liked Nothing

Disliked Didn't stay. Thought the field was too uneven for my disabled wife

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: I'm so sorry you found our touring field unsuitable for your disabled wife. We strive to provide the best experience for all of our guests, both campers and residents alike and our usual feedback reflects this.

Our site fees are considered competitive with other comparable sites in the area and our facilities including a new disabled shower and toilet, laundry room and refurbished cafe have proven to be a winner with past and returning guests.

I only wish you had come to the office to explain the problem. I'm sure we would have been able to find a suitable pitch in other areas of the site that may have been more suitable and closer to our disabled facilities, and your experience of our site would have been more acceptable.

Liked Lovely site, peaceful, very clean and tidy. If you dont want to be right in the centre of a town then its ideal. Public footpath to beach 20 mins walk. Regular bus service available to Sutton and Mablethorpe. We had quite a private spot not too close to anyone else

Disliked Not having wifi. The coffee shop was closed for 2 days
