  • Dog-friendly rural touring site 20 minutes’ walk from a sandy beach
  • On the edge of Sutton on Sea; 10 minutes’ drive from Mablethorpe
  • On-site tea rooms and a lake with a fountain
Searching for somewhere to park your tourer that’s both rural and a short walk away from the beach? This could be the place – surrounded by the east Lincolnshire countryside, Poplar Farm Leisure Park is only 20 minutes’ walk away from a stunning golden stretch of sand – and, being handily placed on the edge of Sutton on Sea, it's within a short drive of plenty more beaches. More about that location: the grass touring pitches are half an hour’s walk from the centre of Sutton on Sea, which has a convenience store and fish and chip shop. If you’d rather not walk, catch a bus from the stop 10 minutes’ walk away – services run from here to Sutton on Sea and along to Mablethorpe. The National Trust’s Sandilands nature reserve is also 25 minutes’ walk away from the site, so there are plenty of options for car-free travels. Before you think about setting off for the beach, shops or nature reserve, you might want to put aside some time to grab some freshly ground coffee at The Barn tea rooms on site (and don’t be shy about asking for a treat for your canine companion if you’re visiting with one). The owners highly recommend getting back from your adventures in time for sunset, too, as the colourful skies can be scenic indeed around here. A lake with a fountain is at the centre of the site, making it a particularly attractive area to sit and relax.
