What customers say
This no-frills campsite delivers great value with tidy grass sites and electric hookups. Visitors praised the spotless restrooms and secure playground. Ample field space for dog walking and games. Some noted close sites, others good spacing. Bring supplies – no shops or bars on-site. Shower fees and a missing bin in the accessible restroom were minor cons.

Quiet spotless site makes a great stopover.
FHU grass and earth campsite
Liked Quiet site with spotless facilities and water, disposal etc easily accessible. Fairly priced.
Disliked It's very nearly a ten. But the 20 pence for shower is a major nuisance for such a trivial amount. Firstly, in this cashless society, it was hard to find the coins. Secondly the twenty pence doesn't buy long enough so I had to come out of the shower with shampoo in my eyes and trek naked across an unlockable space to put another 20p in. Would much rather pay an extra £1 per night and include the shower. Also, the disabled toilets has no bin. Very difficult if you have hidden disabilities.

From the manager: We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and thank you for your helpful feedback.
The slots are definitely something we are wanting to upgrade. and I’ll pop a bin into the accessible toilet today.
The site is run solely by volunteers and is our main fundraising source for the village hall and its grounds. Your support is greatly appreciated and we do hope you’ll be able to stay again.

FHU grass and earth campsite
Liked Friendly staff on arrival. Facilities clean and private from community centre. Adjoining sports field good space to exercise dog.
Taco van available on first night we staid and would buy from vendor again. Community Centre also open for the evening and well behaved dogs on a lead welcome. Friendly atmosphere.
Seen previous comments about traffic noise, but we did not notice this. We would stay here again in future.
The Railway Pub nearby well worth a visit and dog friendly in the marque. Advise that you book in advance.

Great little basic campsite.
FHU grass and earth campsite
Liked Lovely little basic campsite, good showers and toilets. Had a 2 night stay and would definitely come back. Pitches decent size , campsite wasn’t completely full and they spaced us all out well which was nice touch.
Bring provisions with you as no shop or pub in the village. We could use the big playing field next door for a walk and nice and quiet village. Did a day trip to Lincoln and Doddington hall. Would definitely recommend. Toilet and shower block were spider free and clean. Hurrah!

Great little campsite will definitely return!
FHU grass and earth campsite
Liked Lovely little campsite, well looked after grass pitches with electric hook up, good clean shower and toilets. We booked as it was recommended by friends who stay yearly. Little playground was close to the pitches and no road to cross to get to it so felt safe, kids could run around and without me worrying! Absolutely huge playing field a short walk from pitch which we used for dog walks and a morning run! Just did a short stay but would definitely return.

From the manager: I’m sorry you don’t seem to have enjoyed your stay at our little campsite. Your 7 meter wide pitch had no campers either side and our toilets are cleaned and checked very regularly, the site is scoured for litter, so while a little unsure what your review is pinpointing, we of course take constructive feedback onboard. Maybe camping isn’t for you? Thank you for putting your free running dog on a lead when asked and moving your car from another person’s pitch. We have ample parking at the carpark for large tents that fill the pitches. We are very clear that the campsite has a small children’s playground and no other amusements for teens, nor do we offer free WiFi. I’m also sorry you didn’t think we were friendly, we had a nice chat on your arrival!
